What Renters Like and Dislike

What Renters Like and Dislike About Uptown San Antonio

Public transportation is very readily available and highly accessible, I live accross from police and fire station. I'm right next to 2 major highways

I like the public activity center nearby and often go to community activities with my family. There are also lots of restaurants nearby, lots of good places to eat, and there are parks nearby where we can have a picnic, which is really great.

We are lively here and love the restaurants here. Our family often go to the nearby restaurants and bars

The thing I like most about living in this neighborhood is that it is mostly all older adults which are children from parents who lived here. It is also near downtown and shopping center.

Location location location! I'm close to downtown and all the great areas in the city. It is very affordable to live here so I'm able to save money!

I love older homes and that is what our Neighborhood consists of with different architecture, lots of bungalows and craftsman homes, old trees lining our streets, flowers climbing on the fences and our homes. I have a wonderful front porch and back porch that I fully utilize and enjoy every day. Great established and newer restaurants very close by. An interesting and exciting assortment of Thrift Stores with reasonable prices and great merchandise. Grocery Stores very close and an established Liquor Store. Very active Neighborhood Association, that puts out a monthly 5 - 6 page Newsletter. A Community Garden with a small "drop off and pick up" free books. The fact that it is an Inner City Neighborhood and maybe 5 - 6 minutes from downtown. Sits between three (3) Expressways, so that you can get almost in place in town in about 15 minutes ( although traffic is getting a lot heavier, since people have discovered what used to be a small laid back town and has now grown into the 7th largest City in the USA. However, living in the Inner City in the older established neighborhoods, hasn't changed a lot. Several generations are still present in the homes. There just seems to be a different "breed" who live down here. A lot of artists, musicians, young millienals , looking for something different, instead of the "cookie cutter" expanding new neighborhoods, or coming back to where they were born and raised. Even if I were a millioniare, I cannot imagine living anywhere else.
