What Renters Like and Dislike About River Oaks Houston

My neighborhood is centrally located. I can easily access a couple of major highways. There is food and banking locations nearby.

like the architecture in the neighborhood very much. It's modern and beautiful. I also like the interior structure of the house, which is very suitable for people like me.

There are always many parties in Buffalo Bayou and it's just really amazing. It's also really close to downtown and nice food and shops around.

Apartments in River Oaks, Houston, Texas

The River Oaks neighborhood in Houston is a beautiful, peaceful area, but one that is still within reach of the city and all the excitement it has to offer. Houston is the fourth most populous city in America, and is a mecca for the arts, business and culture. Apartments in River Oaks have direct access to all points of Houston, but you wouldn't know it by looking at them. Instead, the neighborhood has the demeanor of a lovely suburban region, giving River Oaks the perfect balance between city life excitement and suburban relaxation.

Recreation

Upon first look at the River Oaks area you'll notice it's very green. Part of the contributing factor to that is the many parks in the immediate area, like River Oaks park. Apartment rentals in River Oaks are just a step away from River Oaks park, which offers a full-sized playground, 0.25-mile hike and bike trail and tennis courts. It's also a great place to sit among the trees and enjoy a relaxing day, away from the buzz of the large city.

For Houston's renowned nightlife there's no need to travel into the city center to get your fill. Right in the River Oaks region is Capone's, a bar/restaurant well known in the Houston area for its perfectly cooked brick oven pizzas. Described as a 1920's style bar, Capone's also hosts live music frequently, and its full delectable menu stays open until 2 a.m. daily, so late-night cravings in River Oaks never go unfulfilled.

Higher learning options are just as wide. Nearby colleges and universities include the University of St. Thomas, Texas Southern University, the University of Houston and prestigious Rice University. Rice, only minutes away from River Oaks apartments, is one of the top private universities in the country, landing 18th on U.S. News & World Report's National University Rankings.
