Eclectic and trendy Richmond is in Southeast Portland. It falls within the Hawthorne District and is surrounded by the Mount Tabor and Sunnyside neighborhoods. This anti-culture, anti-car and often anti-establishment community values an artistic, green, chill vibe that values individuality. As with much of Portland, the homes are varied, providing a little bit of everything for everyone. That vibe is carried throughout the residential streets -- which is the majority of Richmond -- with lawns growing wild with nature. In this mixed-bag neighborhood, you'll find a boho vintage atmosphere mixed with high-end restaurants and local eateries like Pok Pok and Kati Portland (vegetarian). The Clinton Theater is also in Richmond and shows independent films and plays.
