What Renters Like and Dislike

What Renters Like and Dislike About Northwest District Portland

I love my neighborhood. I moved here from Raleigh, NC and they have a horrible public transportation system. I can walk to everything I need. If I need to go across town I can talk the bus, trolly or train.

The management of our community is really good, very humane, and will hold a variety of community activities, and the activities are very meaningful and interesting.

Public transportation is right outside the door. The building is secure. It is in Chinatown where there were (pre pandemic) good Chinese restaurants.

The famous Powell's Books and Grand Central Bakery distribution centers are here. There is, however, a tiny residential community, with a population smaller than any other Portland neighborhood. The Northwest Industrial district provides easy access to many of the gorgeous parks and amenities the city has to offer, like the Lower Macleay Park Trailhead off of Upshur Street, as well as quick access to the Northwest and Pearl districts and the interstates.
