What Renters Like and Dislike

What Renters Like and Dislike About Uptown Chicago

What distinguishes the neighborhood in which I live is the unique designs of the houses and gardens, in addition to the availability of a good number of service shops and activities in the around the neighborhood, and the mall is a place where I can take family and friends to spend fun times.

Quiet tree lined streets. Closed to restaurants and nightclubs and parks nearby are public transport. Near lake. Parks.

Great diversity and friendly. Plenty of renters and housing. Wish their were more restaurants on my side of the neighborhood, but always a short walk.

Close to busy street but far enough removed. Close to lake and park. Close to transit and easy walk to local establishments.

the diverse races and the businesses in the area and the friendly atmosphere as well. I love how there is everything you need in the area and the transportation

It is a quiet and diverse with lots of unique retail outlets but also access to good shopping and transportation. Alas, there are fewer small restaurants than there were years ago as it has gotten trendier.

All About

Living in Chicago, IL

Apartments in Uptown, IL

If you're looking for a way to see the sights and sounds of Chicago, renting a apartment in Uptown can do just the trick. This neighborhood, which is situated in the hub of the city, has numerous amenities to make your life comfortable while exploring the metropolis. Best of all, you'll be close to everything from parks to educational facilities while renting an apartment in Uptown.

Lakeshore recreation

Perhaps one of the biggest benefits of residing in Uptown is your proximity to Lake Michigan. Although it's not as expansive as the Atlantic Ocean on the eastern seaboard, you can still catch glimpses of beautiful sunsets while walking alongside this lake. That being said, there are several parks along the shoreline that you'll want to check out while renting an apartment in Uptown. Cricket Hill, Berger Park and Columbia Beach Park are all just a few blocks from your humble abode. If you have a pet, you'll want to visit the Belmont Harbour Dog Beach while living in the area as well.

Sports

Perhaps you want to do more than just stroll along the coast while you're visiting these outdoor facilities in Uptown. If you're into sports, you might want to consider taking a trip to the nearby Robert A. Black Golf Course. Here, you can practice your putting and take up a round of golf with your new neighbors - what better way to get to know your local community? If golf isn't your speed, the Waveland Park Tennis Courts are just a few blocks from your apartment downtown. Those with kids might want to check out the Diversey Miniature Golf Course for a little bit of fun.

Transportation

You'll find it easy to get to and from your destinations while living in Uptown due to the abundance of public transportation. There are multiple subway stops right outside of your apartment including Ravenswood, Wilson and Lawrence. If you prefer to drive throughout Chicago, you'll have access to several major roadways while renting in Uptown. Route 41 is adjacent to your neighborhood, and the Kennedy Expressway is a couple of blocks down from your apartment. You won't find any issues getting to work, picking the kids up from soccer practice or meeting up with friends who are located throughout the city.
