What Renters Like and Dislike About Near Northeast Washington

Close to public transportation. Close to local businesses. It is pretty clean and has greenery even for being in a city.

I would say we have lots of restaurants neary it's always something to do. My favorite restaurant is the one by my house it's a cool sensory.

I have lived around the neighborhood ober twenty years and watch people come and go. And we respect each other around here.

I like that it is located next to the train station. I like that it is located next to two metro stops.

I like the local businesses near union market. I also like being close to the metro station and near the highway

There are playgrounds for the kids and convenient stores. It is also events we have as a community to keep everyone involved.

Living in Washington, DC

Apartments for rent in Near Northeast are located in a bustling enclave of Washington D.C., in close proximity to the White House, embassies and other political offices of the nation's capital. Everyday you will feel invigorated with the vivacious global community buzzing in your backyard. 

Transit
Whether you need to get to downtown D.C. or want to plan a family road trip to New York City, getting from the Near Northeast apartments to your intended destination will be quick and easy with the all the methods of transit afforded to you. Cutting right through the community is Interstate 395, a thrumming highway that connects to other major roadways like Interstate 695 and Interstate 395. Also in the area is Highway 1, which is known as Maryland Avenue. For all of your weekend escapes, this road is the ideal route to take to get out of the city. Also just a short walk away is the Union metro station where you can hop on a train and get to any one of the Washington D.C. locations in a matter of minutes. 

Parks and Recreation
There are several parks nearby the apartments in Near Northeast where you and your family can head to on weekends. To the north is the New York Avenue/Dunbar Recreation Center where you can play a game of slow-pitch softball. If the little ones want to run and play, you can head to the local Dunbar Playground on 5th Street. For evenings when you want to get in a good cardiovascular workout, you may want to do some laps around the track on T Street or play a match or two at the public tennis courts. Those who have a green thumb can always volunteer at Gorla DC Community Farm. 

Education
Residents of the Near Northeast apartments for rent will have several great public, private and charter schools to choose where they send their children to. Miner Elementary on 115th Street is less than a mile away and has some of the city's best education professionals on staff. Other notable institutions that your little ones can attend include Center City PCS, Friendship Blow-Pierce, as well as the New Beginnings Vocational Program, which is situated right on West Virginia Avenue. 

Drink
There are scores of bars in the neighborhood that you and your significant other can wine and dine at. RFD Washington has an extensive drink selection, while the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern is the perfect place to head to on Sundays for football and a cool libation or two.
