Living in Washington, DC

Residents of Edgewood apartments for rent are afforded the convenience of being close to the hustle and bustle of America's capital, yet they are still able to enjoy a serene, domestic environment that's ideal for raising a family. The quiet, suburban atmosphere is complemented by the parks, quiet side streets, and wooded areas that give way thrumming urban thoroughfares, subway stations and various local businesses. 

Education
The neighborhood is filled with an academic exuberance due to the various educational institutions nearby, such as Holy Redeemer College on Chancellor's Way and the Columbus School of Law on John McCormack Drive. Children will be able to attend some of the country's finest private and charter schools, like the St. Anthony Catholic School on 12th and Lawrence, as well as the Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy PCS on Jackson Street. Also nearby is the Metropolitan Day School, and for adults, there's the Career Training Program on Monrose Street. 

Transportation
Commuting into the center of Washington D.C. from one of the apartments for rent in Edgewood will be easy with the local bus system that runs down the neighborhood's main drag, Rhode Island Avenue. Also in the area is the Rhode Island metro subway station, which grants residents ample access to all of the city's points of interest and it runs through D.C.'s surrounding Virginia and Maryland neighborhoods. Highway 29 and Highway 50 also border the neighborhood, which are extremely convenient for road trips up and down the east coast. 

Outdoor Arenas
Residents of apartments in Edgewood will have ample access to great outdoor retreats that the whole family can enjoy. After work or on weekends, the little ones can run around at the Edgewood Playground on Lincoln Road, or you can play a game of catch at the adjacent sports field. Also available to the public are tennis and basketballs courts, where locals play pick-up games or shoot hoops for fun after work. The U.S. Soldiers and Airmens' Golf Course on Kenyon Street, which is a verdant 18-hole green that can easily be reached via public transit. 

Local Businesses
There are convenient areas of commerce in the center of the community that can easily be reached on foot from the Edgewood apartments. If you want to grab a quick bite to eat, you can head to Pizza Mart, McDonalds, or one of the other local eateries, while Edgewood Liquor store is the place to go to stock your fridge. Also within reach, is a dry cleaners, a pharmacy and an automotive repair shop.
