A museum and an interpretive center are nearby. Baseball fans can head down to Safeco Field to catch the Seattle Mariners in action during the summer. For a panoramic view of the larger metropolitan area, residents can climb to the Smith Tower Observation Deck. On fair days, majestic Mt. Rainier is visible in the distance.

While Seattle's Pioneer Square is closely associated with history, the neighborhood also offers a number of areas of truly radiant beauty. Both Occidental Park and Waterfall Garden Park are located nearby. Tall trees, cascading waterfalls and peaceful sitting areas make Waterfall Garden Park a hidden gem.
