cheapest apartments best schools washington dc

Washington, D.C. mirrors many cities analyzed, with the best schools found away from the city core. In fact, none of our ten top-rated neighborhoods for Washington D.C. are even in D.C. – they’re all neighborhoods in Virginia and Maryland.

Going by the data, we’d say Tysons Corner is the best bet for the highest-rated schools. That being said, once you factor in rent to find the areas with the best deals, it’s actually Maryland which tops our ratings.

As well as identifying good parts of town to look, we will use average property rent and school ratings to identify properties throughout the area that are our picks to provide the best value for each grade level.
