If you are the kind of hip music fan who listens to vinyl records in your apartment, then you need to be in the know about where to get your hands on the latest grooves.

In Atlanta, Ga., take a neighborhood musical tour and hit these awesome local record shops — the best music stores in Atlanta.

Criminal Records
Even though you can shop online, it’s criminal not to make an in-store visit to Criminal Records in Little Five Points. This eclectic neighborhood is home to one of the finest record shops around. They’ve got old stuff, new stuff and a whole lot of good stuff. Their blog-style website and Facebook page keep you in the loop about cool bands playing in the neighborhood, as well as alerting you to new album releases on the way.

Decatur CD
Decatur CD is just a stone’s throw away from the two stores in Little Five Points, and the short drive to Decatur is totally worth it. The helpful, knowledgable staff at this haven for local listeners is always happy to order special selections for their customers. (Watch out for the Security Chicken!)

Fantasyland Records
Even upscale Atlanta neighborhoods like Buckhead love to jam to vintage vinyl and used CDs. For a heady hi-fi experience, motor over to Fantasyland Records on Pharr Road. They also carry new vinyl, movie and music posters, and other memorabilia. One Yelp fan even found KISS army action figures in the original packaging. (Now that is a fantasy!)

Wuxtry Records
Most folks in Atlanta know that some of the coolest bands in the country call Athens home.
