I moved in to Market West last Feb 2018 due to a job relocation and have previously owned a home in the Chicago area. I understand that living in an apartment that you will hear other people in the building. It is not THAT bad. I may hear a dog barking for 2 seconds or a plow truck. Thank god for service workers to do the "dirty" work. As far as the review about the 3rd floor - that was me and my family. For awhile no one lived below us. Once I received a notice from management I stopped. I tried to talk to the lady in passing in the garage but she smiled in my face and said 'ok no worries', and yet still called the police almost everyday on me and my family for just walking in my apt! The police department knows her and now Greenway station has an issue with her. People like that like drama or is seeking a discount. She honestly has issues that only a professional can help with. Basically, if you don't want to deal with people don't live in an apartment. Period. I have moved into another building in Market West due to her. I ride past & see a police car and know immediately its because of her calling the police on the new tenants. SMH I have no major complaints now. Of course when you live in an apartment there will be things that will need to be fixed, but my requests have been handled in a timely manner. I would say heating and cooling is odd if you live in a 2bd + den. The den gets extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. Overall, the apt is close to a lot of shops and good schools. Amenities are nice and clean - gym, free workout classes, events, coffee, theater, pool. In Chicago, you would have to pay in addition to rent/mortgage to use a nice community room like Market West's. It's perfect for gatherings!

Update from 3 months ago! After management read my last review and stated that they would work to ensure Im comfortable. Well let me tell how comfortable I am since this statement. Here we go! Noise, police Noise, NOISE!!! Pay more for MORE PROBLEMS So, heres an update from 3 months ago! Now take it Ive only been here 8 months with no peace just problems! So, on my last post I explained the construction problem regarding Market West. There are 4 floors. The first and the second floors HAVE carpet and the 3rd and the 4th do NOT!!!! Therefore, there is NO NOISE Absorption!!!!!! On the 3 floor units! So, if you move on the 2nd floor which I do then you HEAR ALL the noise from the 3rd floor. So, here is my update from three months ago from management tagging my review stating that they WILL make things more comfortable...how right? Well, here we go! My Comfortability has been solved! They move the same exact problem into the unit above me. I hear the same exact noises I heard from before a child running around with or without shoes throwing dropping stuff pounding on the floor wooden floor that is....No supervision and were neglected children because you hear everything the parents are in the other room and the child is running around knocking stuff over and the noise is AWFUL!!..So the problem is solved and Im more comfortable I got the same problem just new neighbors and new POLICE!!!!!!! The noise causes retaliation among neighbors!!!! So beware!!!!!!!!youre paying more money for more problems problems problems and more noise noise noise! And for those who read this and dont believe I will go to YouTube and post a MARKET WEST video of all the noises I hear from my apartment from the third floor. I record the noises on a regular occasion and forward it to management. So,I have several recordings from the first set of neighbors and now the second set of neighbors all of this in my first 8 months....If I could sell the noises, I would be as rich as owners.

If you love noise, stains on all the interior carpet, doors that don't work, issues within the apartment, unresponsive service crew, ...it would be great. Otherwise, this place is way-overpriced for the issues most tenants have face and the managements's generic response of , we're sorry ...it's new. No, it's not. It's not new and stop using that excuse after two years. Gotta love the people leaving beer bottles in common areas, storing all sorts of stuff in the parking areas, etc. Still takes ~5-10 minutes to get normal "cold" water in the top floor kitchen.

Definitely not the place to live if you tend to make any sort of noise in your day to day activities. If you have kids, dogs, like to have even two friends over, or any sort of wheelchair, scooter, baby walker - expect noise complaints followed by a rude and unprofessional letter from "management" to address the issue.

The building is pretty inside and out. High end finishes. The tenants are very friendly and so are the dogs in the community. Beware of what is promised and what is to be done yet. The management is not on top of getting the amenities done like promised. No pool done in August, no outside amenities yet..patio or tables or grill or fire pit,It was supposed be be done in July. It's almost October now. The dog run is nice, but there isn't a gate on it yet. Parking is also going to be a big problem. There is one underground spot per unit and first come spaces outside that may fit one more car for half the people or guest coming to visit.

Thank you for your comments. We are confident you will enjoy many of the amenities here. Unfortunately, new construction can be unpredictable, as we are relying on vendors, supplies, and weather sometimes. Please reach out to your management team there for any future concerns, they are eager to be of service, and we have been assured that many of these new constructions issues will be resolved soon. Once construction is over, parking will be plentiful.
