Copper Beach is a huge dissapointment. My daughter moved in in August and the place was filthy. It obviously had not been cleaned in years. Besides the filth there were several stains all over the carpet and furniture. We reported this and it has yet to be cleaned. The washing machine did not work for weeks and after numerous attempts by daughter, I called and they said they would fix it right away. It did eventually get fixed but now the dryer has been not working for a few weeks. I left a message for the general manager in August and still have not heard back. Most recently it seems there is only 1 person to drive the shuttle and she has not been there a few times, so no ride to campus. I would never recommended Copper Beach
I will say copper beech is probably the best deal in Morgantown as far as how much space you get per dollar spent. However, these town homes are not as they seem. The office staff will show you a demo unit that does not represent the place you will be living. The homes are terribly inefficient causing high utility bills, especially in the winter. We have had $200-250+ bills because they use heat pumps instead of a conventional heat system. The roofs leak, there are bug problems throughout the property, and the landscaping in front of the buildings is always overgrown never well kept. The maintenance staff was amazing however and helped us out regularly when the office failed to do their job. The office staff (especially Corey) were often rude and we have had multiple extra charges that we should not have had to pay. I would not recommend living here to anyone.
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. I was supposed to move in on May 29th they misread my lease and werent expecting me until August. Rather than being sympathetic and trying to make the situation better, the management was completely indifferent and suggested I drive 6 hours back to my hometown as the apartment wouldnt be ready for 2-3 days. Since finally moving in (a week ago) there has been a huge leak, the AC is broken and the power bill got messed up so no electricity. Again, management has been dodging my calls and wholly unhelpful when I do get ahold of him DO NOT LIVE HERE
The apartments are nice and affordable for a college student. The management/office is a nightmare to deal with. Between my parents being towed while trying to unload my belongings after returning from winter break, the lawsuit Copper faced a few years back for keeping security deposits, and having rude responses given by office staff for asking about how to get a replacement key I can't say I recommend Copper Beech very much.
Awesome place! Love everything about it, don't believe the bad reviews! So big, friendly staff, fun environment, and close to everything
