*Management* flat out sucks. They are never present on site, and never available when you need them. You can never actually talk to a real person or call them. Rachel, Abby, Aanesia, and management are rude, *petty*, and just don't care. I had problems with my crazy neighbor next door for 11 of the 12 months I lived at Lightbox, and the situation would only get worse and worse and lightbox wouldn't do anything. Had my move out date not been as close to as when I finally got police involved/help, the officer was ready to proceed with a restraining order against my neighbor and recommended legal against Lightbox. What did Lightbox do when I told them about all of this? Ignore me and my emails. *Discrimination* Also, as other reviews have mentioned, keep in mind because I called them out for it too, they do discriminate here and the amount of disrespect you receive compared to others makes it very evident. POC's/international students watch out for this too (another of the subjects I directly called them out on and they never replied to). Because of this discrimination management harassed me over the months giving me warnings for things I *wasn't even in the city at the times* to be doing!! *Neighborhood* is sketchy and unsafe, my partner and I with our two cars (nothing inside) had 2 break-ins and a stolen catalytic converter. It was common to see a car with a shattered window in front of the building almost every day. There are also a lot of crimes like shootings and stabbing that happen near here, and despite safety threats, homeless and non-residents are able to easily get in the building and management never did anything to handle it. *Facilities* are subpar, especially for how much they charge for rent. *Does not look like pictures online!* Packages will get stolen (they make you pay for a locker, but even then somehow packages manage to disappear), and the hallways and rooftop not only stink and are dirty but have broken furniture or amenities that don't work.

RENTER BEWARE: My daughter and her friend were 2 summer interns who decided to live in Seattle instead of in the suburbs like they had done the prior summer. They liked the Lightbox apartments and the location. The problem is, Lightbox has a history of scamming you after you vacate the premises. There are many reviews out there just like ours that attest to their experience. They do this especially to out of state students who are naive and vulnerable. Once you leave and go back home they hit you with made up and unsubstantiated charges like smoke damage and having to paint the entire apartment and ceiling twice! They can't supply pictures or receipts for the repair work. The comical aspect, if there is one, is that during their 3 month stay, the girls did not cook and they don't smoke. Lightbox knows that the amount they charge is not high enough to expend the money necessary to retain an attorney, fly out for court appearances, and fight them, so in the end, after you try to reason with them, you end up begrudgingly giving them the $1100 they require just to make the situation go away. The irony, they wouldnt allow them to pay online or mail them a check. They had to give these unscrupulous thieves their credit card number over the phone. They were told if they didnt pay that day over the phone it was going to collections and their credit would be ruined. Bad credit is a big concern for college students who have yet to graduate and embark on their careers. This was a horrible situation and these girls were so taken advantage. We have all learned a lesson the hard way. Before moving into any apartment, read reviews first, check with the local police department, and force a final walk-through prior to leaving. We feel it is now our duty to warn everyone about these scammers!

Excellent place to live in regards of cleanliness, location, upkeep, convenience, enjoyment etc.. Quiet area for being in the center of a fairly busy area. The staff is extremely caring along with friendly residents. Commodities are exceptional along with many accommodations that exceed their basic duty. If those things don't sell you on it, the rooftop view will.

Great complex for young folks starting out. Brand new appliances and a beautiful rooftop pool. Not great for young professionals who do not party every night.
