Living in Burien, WA

Discover Burien, Washington apartment living at its best on ApartmentGuide.com. Whether you are a new resident to the Burien area, a student looking for off-campus housing or a professional looking for a residence close to work, ApartmentGuide.com offers many different types of apartments for rent to choose from.

While Mother's Day often gets a lot of publicity - and rightfully so - Father's Day in Burien is also a big day for those who rent apartments in the area, as classic cars from around the northwest descend upon the center of town for the annual Father's Day car show.

Discover Burien - a nonprofit organization which helps promote a number of events in the area - says that the annual show puts more than 200 cars on display for those who rent Burien apartments. A number of streets in the center of town are shut down for the event, which draws more than 4,000 people and is partially sponsored by local car dealerships.

As a number of live bands take the stage at the event, the various cars are judged in nine different - and a bit unusual - categories such as the people's choice, best interior, most likely to go on a date in, best paint job and lowest odometer.

The renters of Burien apartments can also participate - or just try some samples - at the event's chili cook-off competition. The competition is always heated, and the top-scoring chili earns a $250 prize, along with the rights to the event's traveling trophy for the year.

For Burian apartment renters who aren't interested in spicy food, the event also has a charity poker tournament and raffle. All of the proceeds from those two events is given to the Highline Boosters, which supports the athletics programs at local Highline High School. Other proceeds go to Discover Burien.

Whether you're searching great Burien apartments, studios or lofts, or you're an apartment manager wanting to fill your vacancies, find what you are looking for on ApartmentGuide.com.
