I've been a resident of Colonial Arms Apartments for 14 years. I enjoy my apartment complex to it's fullest. It's located in a great section of Virginia Beach and not far from the Oceanfront. I appreciate the professionalism of the management staff and all other staff. They take pride in the apartment complex, just as i do. It's very convenient to the shopping areas, schools, hospital, grocery stores etc. It's a very comfortable place to live alone or with your family. It's highly recommended...
The staff is always helpful and quick to respond to an issues that come up. It's a nice place to live. We have been here going on 4 years this December.
I just renewed my lease and I love it here! I wouldnt want to call any place else home. The maintenance team takes great care of the property and my home. Im mostly excited about the new fitness center and grilling area. The office staff is always friendly and professional. They always do fun resident activities and keep me laughing with their Facebook and Instagram posts, especially the dancing dinosaur. You can tell the staff really loves their job and the community.
Renting here was pretty much the worst experience in my life. Moving is such a hassle, you spend energy and expense on moving and the last thing you want to do is move again when the next lease comes around. Our family hugely regretted ever moving to Colonial Arms Apartments. The issue is this, they have apartment inspections every 7 weeks. It never ends, it is insufferable. My wife couldn't take it, every few weeks left at our door was their note announcing yet another inspection, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another. How many inspections do they need to have, it was awful? We complained about it and they only increased the frequency of inspections over time. We keep things pretty neat but my wife felt the need to do a full-fledged scrub-down every time, she worked so hard. It's a real hassle when the complex is fixated on these inspections, it's inhuman to be honest. It's cruel. It doesn't even matter about the other aspects of living there it sucks so bad. I promise you if you rent there, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!
I told the manager I loved living here and she asked me to write a review so here it goes.. I like all the upgrades they are doing. Hallway, new pool, new clubhouse, gym. Im always seeing contractors replacing roofs, ect. Like knowing my hard earned money is going towards something. The manager and staff seem to really enjoy their jobs. Even when I have complaints I leave the office smiling. Im happy to hear they will be adding bike racks to each hall. Such a nice area, it will be nice to have a beach cruiser. Love living close to Whole Foods, total wine, and the beach. Maintenance guys are friendly and helpful. My hallway is always clean. Two thumbs up, 5 stars!
