Best apartment we've ever lived in. If you are looking to bike and walk around this is the community for you. We loved the area. we felt safe and everyone is friendly! If you live here you can walk to everything at the oceanfront: The library, Farm Fresh, Harris teeter, restaurants, shops, fishing pier, mini golf, at the beach (less than 8 blocks away!). Just around the corner about two miles away you can get to a Walmart, Aldi, Pharmacy, Target, ect.
You would be right in Old Beach Village! Trust me, it's the best! When you walk to the beach, take 25th. You will be greeted with many homeowners who will wave at you and even some will stop to talk to you. If you have little ones, there's even a little park behind the middle school!
At night in the summer there are street performers at the ocean front as well as concerts, art shows...and its all free!
This is the best place to live for the money and the good times! With two children we had a blast: Bodyboarding, surfing, biking, walking to the store and library, singers and magicians on the street in the summer.
Birdneck Village apartments has a workout center, huge pool, tennis courts, bike racks, storage, and the staff and management are awesome!
Many days, we were greeted with friendly maintenance staff who would stop and take the time to chat for a few minutes. We got to know many by name because they were so kind!
Candy runs the fix-it side and she is super nice and will take care of you!
The whole time we were there, we only met 1 grumpy worker (everyone has a bad day sometimes though)
Cindy runs the front office. She is the best manager we have ever dealt with. She's quick to please and smart as a whip! Unlike other apartments, she treats you like the paying customer you are. She understands that customer satisfaction is key. She went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of any concerns we had.
Edna and Donna were always sweet and helpful. Wonderful Experience! We'll miss it.
The floors and walls are to thin. I can hear the people below me cough and laugh. Not sure if this can be resolved. But it would certainly make me more comfortable. I know my downstairs neighbors would probably be happier too.
I had maintenance enter my apartment without my permission to repair a damaged blind. I was never contacted about this issue. They entered a service request without my knowledge and let themselves in. I value my privacy above all and it was violated that day.
They send emails for Father's Day and other holidays(please stop) but when they're going to have repairs done, nothing is sent. For example, they were painting new lines for parking and I saw them putting up signs around 5pm the day before. If your car isn't moved by 7am they tow it. Seems like they're not prepared, there's no communication or they don't care. Also they put in a work order for our blinds and gave US no notice. They filled the sheet out like we requested it.
Wash/Dryer were installed in the bathroom with no ventilation causing heat buildup and moisture. Walls have no sound proofing. I could trace my neighbor above me through their daily routine. I was never notified of maintenance and most times the maintenance personnel would just enter the apartment without any warning claiming it was routine maintenance. Also parking is horrible. I had one car and after 5pm couldn't even find a spot in the guest parking lot.
