The Melrose

Excellent highly recomended

My husband and I have been living at Melrose Apartment since August 2018. I have never lived at a better apartment. The ambiance of the place and the Flora is well keep and beautiful. The rooms are spacious and nice and the setup makes you feel link you are living in your own home and not an apartment. Talk about customer service I am really pleased Anna will give you the perfect guide and advice to help you select an apartment that is perfect for you. The maintenance crew is always prompt and available even after hours. There are two ladies that I usually speak to in the office Anna and Erica, they are awesome. I feel happy to have them manning a place I live. We have regular pest control come in to check and for me that counts for their keenness to our health. If you are looking for a place that will make you feel at home Melrose is the Apartment for you. I am not given any favors to right this review but it is honestly the TRUTH. I am a teacher and I have referred some of my colleagues to move here, they did and they are all pleased to this day. Thank you Melrose team and keep up the good work!

Thiss a good place and good neighborhood the management is very friendly

These are 80+ year old former marine housing units that have been somewhat renovated. My unit in particular has cracking walls from a settling foundation. Trash litters the place constantly. If the paint peels or cracks, don't knock it loose because of the decades old lead paint underneath. The rent amount used to be fair, but their lipstick-on-a-pig renovations have raised the rent to an unreasonable starting rate of $999 when it was just $840 in 2016. It's the same tired, worn out, in need of complete rehab units with a higher price tag. Constant loud music from front porches, common areas, and other areas goes unchecked. Rent-a-cop security has gotten worse with time. The price used to be an upside to this place, but for $999/month, you can do better in the area.

It's cute, quiet place to live. If you enjoy and prefer a little bit of small town flair this is to place to move to. The office staff is friendly and very responsive to questions, concerns and requests as well is the service team. The housing is well maintained and is getting step by step update to the newest standards.
