The management staff is very friendly and concerned about their residents. They take care of all issues you have in your apartment on a timely manner. They are definitely a staff that keeps their word
Staff was very responsive to my requests and the apartment was very nice
Good community, nice people including staff. Only concern is the lack of proper lighting on the property at night, the lack of trash on the ground being picked up, including trash that the dumpster company didn't pick up, items will remain on the ground for weeks. Some of the maintenance staff I think are new, put in a work request regarding the toilet leaking, staff didn't turn the water off and water got all over the floor and eventually leaked downstairs.
I personally would not recommend Winchester Greens for a number of reasons. Ultimately it depends on what a person will tolerate or is looking for in a community. For starters management has a lack of regard for its residents. They do a poor job at addressing residents concerns. They do not keep the community informed and office staff acts completely clueless. Record keeping here is poor. Maintenance does a half job I believe only once in the whole year we lived here was a job actually completed. Filters rarely get changed. The block we resided on seemed like quiet block, but that was definitely not the case. Individuals at the end of our block had not one but a few incidents involving Chesterfield PD as well as what looked like a crime scene and had the block shut down for hours. Management never informed its residents of what occurred especially for people residing on the block. They conduct inspections very frequently which is an invasion of privacy. Expect for the only notice that you receive to be the day before events actually take place, such as tree cutting, road work, filters, etc. to be within less than 24 hours notice. The townhomes had potential, but they want to be cheap and don't like replacing machines, appliances, or even simply fixing the exterior. Parking is a major downside. It was not uncommon to find trash in your front or backyard as people act like they can't find a trash can. Weekends there were very rowdy. The garbage company they use seems to be unprofessional they've skipped a whole block before and had to come back. They tend to rather dumpster dive than making sure they collect your garbage from your can. Anytime any road work or tree cutting occurs be prepared for tow notices to go around. And if you have a permit for reserved parking be mindful that the tow company they use is incompetent. This property overall had potential, but BHC needs to make some serious changes or they will continue to have high turnover rates.
It would be great if they had assigned parking spots reserved in front of your residence. I often complain because of inconsiderate neighbors parking in front of our home and dumping their car trash on the sidewalk in front of our place, while the parking space in front of their home is available. I feel like maintenance and management are constantly in the units for either an inspection, pest control, testing smoke detectors, or changing the air filters. I just feel like for the $1000+ we pay to live here, we should have the right to park in front of our home, and not have maintenance and management in there almost more than the time we spend there.
These beautiful townhomes and garden-style apartments are equipped with dishwashers, disposals, washers and dryers, and standard appliances. Homes are fully carpeted and a select few have been upgraded to a beautiful wood looking vinyl throughout the first level. Residents have access to a swimming pool, playgrounds, and Community Center where Better Housing Coalition provides supportive programs for all ages. The Genesis Day Care Center and the Bermuda Health Center are conveniently nearby. Utility type: gas and electric.
