Inter Bake Foods relocated their headquarters in 2006 and the building remained vacant until 2013 when a developer's vision was put in motion to turn the walls which used to hold the intoxicating aroma of cookies into walls where people could create homes. Living in a building that is officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places is definitely a privilege for our residents.

At Cookie Factory Lofts our amenities are as decadent as the cookies that were once made here. We include high speed internet, and trash with recycling. We have an on-site fitness center so you have no more excuses to not work out. Our refreshing, outdoor pool is the perfect place to relax on hot, summer days. We also have a large club room complete with large screen television for days when our couch seems more comfy than your own. Last but not least, our residents can enjoy the convenience of our underground and surface parking lots, a welcome change from circling the block for a parking space!.
Looking around, it won't take long to recognize that you are in the heart of everything you need. Being a resident at The Cookie Factory Lofts means you will be in walking distance to plenty of local shops and delicious restaurants. If you get bored, the movie theater down the block has all the newest releases plus classic and independent films.
For the commuters, our central location just off Broad Street gives you quick access to Interstates 64, 95 and 195. We are located just minutes from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond, and the West End/Short Pump and quick ride away. If you don't feel like driving; public transit is available a few steps from our front door.
Free internet provided by the building is through a satellite which makes the connection speed unpredictable. Leasing office is often closed during lunch which can make it difficult to pick up packages.
The location of the building is excellent; easy interstate access & walking distance to numerous restaurants, stores, & breweries. The building looks very nice, and the units are rather roomier than at other similarly-priced buildings in the area. It includes basic cable & internet, which has been surprisingly reliable. The only negative thing I have to say is that occasionally I can hear neighbor-noises (dogs mostly) through the air vents & 2 or 3 times I have had to park on the street.
Apartment complex is always clean. Office and maintenance are always timely on requests. Fellow residents are nice.
Pros: Staff very friendly and usually very helpful. Opportunity to recycle. Cable (40 channels) & internet included. Quiet - the thick outer walls and floors; prevent noise from adjacent units (but not from hall). Kitchen designed for tall folks(like me!) The upper cabinets are high up. Cons: Closet storage is for the petite (mini dress would be OK but knee length drags the floor) No ESPN (but get NFL, NBA, NBC & CBS sports). Water bill, pay minimum monthly charge (if actual usage is below avg)
Absolutely love living in the cookie factory lofts. Great location, high security never worried at home, and great amenities.
