Everything about the place is perfect except you cannot get an actual internet connection. They use "scamtech"(Amtech) exclusively and will apparently block any attempt for you to use other ISPs. The internet connection drops every hour. Meaning it is not feasible to work from home over a VPN or to game in any capacity. Even streaming video is severely impacted. I wish I had known this prior to moving in, just assumed it wouldn't be an issue because I lived a block away before and was able to get Comcast. My apartment is essentially unlivable as a result. Avoid at all costs if the internet is something you depend on.

As you shared, internet is one of the amenities that we provide here at CFL and our provider is Amtech. It is quite common for apartment communities to be limited to the use of one internet provider with the option for residents to upgrade. Before selecting Cookie Factory, we've had many residents that asked who our internet provider was prior to applying for the apartment. This was so they could be aware and do any research they felt necessary prior to reserving or moving in to the apartment. We are more than happy to provide this information to any prospect or resident should they ask at any part of the process.

Included in your move in packet is our internet provider's contact information as well as several upgraded package options that you can choose from. Like yourself, many of our residents who work from home, and have successfully been able to stream music, game, etc. using the internet that we provide. We understand that your internet needs may exceed what is provided so you do have the option of upgrading your internet is for an additional cost.

- Management does nothing to provide real consequences of valid complaints about other extemely disruptive neighbors especially when the problem is still persisting and has been going on for longer than a year. - Major maintenance issues are never fixed in a timely manner, nor do they communicate with residents on updates. - Dog bags are rarely, if ever, provided for residents in a timely manner. - Cleanup of dog bags in trash bin is not cleaned up very often.

We are sorry it sounds like you have had a frustrating experience with a neighboring apartment. Without being able to speak to your specific situation, we can at least assure you that noise complaints are taken seriously. When a noise complaint is received we follow our policy protocol of sending a first violation letter followed by any additional violation letters depending on whether the issue gets better. We have found that often neighbors are unaware how sound travels within a building but once they are made aware they are more conscientious of their actions. If the resident receiving the complaint contacts us to explain they do not feel the complaint against them is valid then we are tasked with trying to investigate whether we have a case of varying tolerance levels or actual unacceptable behavior. We do this by performing sound abatements and/or remediation as we deem necessary.

Ultimately we never want our residents to feel uncomfortable or disturbed in their own home so we do take the time to try to find a solution for all parties which isn't always easy or a fast process although we can assure you it is well-researched. Again we are very regretful you have had to go through this and would like to speak with you about your specific situation.

We do love our dogs at Cookie Factory. Residents are expected to clean up after their pets including having their own pet waste bags. We offer pet waste bags at our pet waste station as a courtesy should you forget to grab one before walking your dog.

Free internet provided by the building is through a satellite which makes the connection speed unpredictable. Leasing office is often closed during lunch which can make it difficult to pick up packages.

Internet is an amenity that we are happy to provide to the residents. We provide 5 Mbps; which is sufficient for the majority of our residents. In addition, there are upgraded packages available up to 100 Mbps.

We try our best to accommodate residents that are unable to pick up packages during the day. We are open late one night during the week for this sole purpose and on Saturdays. We actually do not close for our lunch breaks. We have two staff members in the office and we take separate lunch breaks to make sure we are able to remain open. Unfortunately, we do however have to close our office when we are both out on tours as we can't leave the office unsecured. Just as picking up packages may be most convenient for residents on their lunch break, it is also when prospective residents schedule their tours with us. You are always welcome to call and find out what times the office may have to be closed for a tour so you are not inconvenienced with having to wait for us to return.

The location of the building is excellent; easy interstate access & walking distance to numerous restaurants, stores, & breweries. The building looks very nice, and the units are rather roomier than at other similarly-priced buildings in the area. It includes basic cable & internet, which has been surprisingly reliable. The only negative thing I have to say is that occasionally I can hear neighbor-noises (dogs mostly) through the air vents & 2 or 3 times I have had to park on the street.

Inter Bake Foods relocated their headquarters in 2006 and the building remained vacant until 2013 when a developer's vision was put in motion to turn the walls which used to hold the intoxicating aroma of cookies into walls where people could create homes. Living in a building that is officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places is definitely a privilege for our residents.
