Ratings & Reviews
Overall Ratings
(6 Ratings)If you grew up with less, you can make this work. Most of the negative reviews I read are true but don't happen all the time. Most of the positive reviews are true as well. The apartment isn't as good looking as it appears, it's small but you do get what is promised. I recommend getting your own bathroom to eliminate the chances of arguments. All of my roommates are quiet. I actually had more issue with other people's units than mine. It isn't the cleanest kitchen but its usable. The lounge area always looks clean. Most people don't use it. There's a decent gym and a basketball court. The parking garage does have limited spaces so there is no guarantee you'll get a spot unless outlined in your lease. But there's paid parking around the apartment. Just means a little more walking. The building is closest to the engineering/business VCU building. There's plenty of restaurants around depending on what you like. The area isn't as rough as other places so there's not alot of robberies. Beware in Richmond this seems to change from street to street. I'd give this a rating of 7.. it ain't perfect, but it passes. It's not Ritz-Carlton but you'll be able to study and graduate.

First of all, let me start by saying that you are not getting anything that you pay for. You are primarily paying for the location. Lets start with the fact that they told me I would get a parking pass and when it was time to move in they claimed they had ran out. Second, the elevator never works. There is water damage in my room. I took a shower and I saw the dirt and debris from the bathroom walls rolling down the walls and thats disgusting. The room is small despite the fact that youre paying almost $800 for it. The Internet barely works. There have been many times when Im doing assignment and I cant finish or access it because the Internet is ridiculously slow. They lost my check and tried to charge me for the month that I moved in and the current month despite the fact that I had already paid. It took me emailing the bookkeeper to remedy this problem which begs the question why do you have incompetent students running an apartment complex? The ceilings are thin so you can hear everything. The maintenance issues here are ridiculous for how much youre paying. Overall, avoid this place at all costs

Be warned they dont work with you or let you out of lease- even during Covid! Also it is much smaller snd not well maintained as looks on website.

I lived here for 3 years (my sophomore, junior, and senior year of undergrad). The only reason I stayed so long is because housing all around VCU is predatory towards students and I thought it was easier to just keep renewing my lease rather than keep looking for somewhere else to live. The overall living quarters are not bad, I liked my unit and room and the amenities are decent. Although the elevator inspection has been expired for years. That's trifling.
My big issue is with the management and all the people "running things". My first year living there, I was roommate matched in a four bedroom and one of my roommates was the absolute worst. She had her boyfriend living in our apartment (we did not agree to this at all and had not met either of them before moving in together). Despite several meetings with all of us, the manager did absolutely nothing. They claim to have a guest policy that does not allow this, but it's nowhere to be found in the lease and there was no prescribed punishment for it. What's the point of even saying it?
Next, the student workers at the front desk have given me incorrect info on more than one occasion. Some of them really are not very competent. I gave my renewal lease to one of them this past year and they lost it. Luckily I figured this out before the school year started, but they had already given my original room away.
Lastly, the bookkeeping is traaassshh. This is my biggest issue. Why are you playing with people's money? I had friends in the building whose checks had been lost more than once. They have also miscounted my balance several times.
Overall, I'm not so pleased with my experiences living here. If I wasn't just trying to make it through school, I never would have stayed as long as I did.

Wonderful place to live. Super convenient to campus and everything else. I was placed with random roommates and ended up loving them! I plan on renewing until I graduate.
