Preston Trails East has been a place of peace for me and my daughter. She has since then graduated from high school and I continue to enjoy living at Preston Trails East. If I should encounter a problem with any repairs the maintance team is on the job at their first available moment. My grandson enjoys the play park and the swimming pool has always been a burst of enjoyment. If your looking for a nice place to live in the Portsmouth Community consider Preston Trails East I love it.
On-site management is nice and always professional. Most of the facilities staff is well. It's apartment living however, and that just comes with it's own headaches. Wish people would clean up after their pets...
There are better places to live.
I paid a prorated amount for the portion of the first month BEFORE I moved in last year. They are trying to charge me more money even though in March, I will have paid them for a full year. She had me sign a move out slip and then wrote all over it afterwards that they were going to prorate my last month here at partially a higher rate.
I wish I could photograph the tricks they are pulling to bilk even more money out of me. They are currently trying to get extra money even though my lease isnt up and I informed them I will be moving before the end of the lease. Just find someone that wont try to cheat you.
They wont do much for you but will overcharge to as much as possible.
The grounds are peaceful except the 5 am traffic noise on most workdays. And the cigarette and cigar smoke.
And then theres the noise that goes up from behind the mirror in my bathroom (I recorded it on video so please dont think its not real) as if a pipe chase isnt working.
I also have the $528 power bill.
The washers and dryers are ancient and they charge $50 a month for those when you could get one from Rent A Center and own it in a little more time then that and it would be insured and not have the same issues.
As posted on here, the pool will also not always be open. They also dont clean or cover it in the winter.
And cigarette smoke and cigar and whatever else people smoke outside and inside will float to the inside of your apartment as the 40 year old windowless doors that have tack marks all in them.
There maintenance person informed me that when someone moves out, they only paint.
The floors arent generally cleaned before you move in nor will the apartment be and they never inspect even your smoke detectors and will say when those dont work (because you burned something and they dont go off) that its the HVAC vents or your fault for not getting a battery or inspecting it yourself-JUST TRUTH
Very clean. Quiet and comfortable.
I'm currently a resident and I absolutely can't wait to leave. Parking and bugs are terrible. The leasing office employees are extremely unprofessional. Maintenence will also enter your apartment whether you are home or not and rummage through your belongings. This is a prison, not an apartment complex. Save your time and well-earned money. Stay away from this place.
