I'm only submitting one star, because I have to. I wouldn't recommend these apartments. Unless you are seeking unprofessional-ism from office staff. Smell of dog feces and having to watch where you walk, because these apartments do not complete proper disposal of dog feces . Dog urine is always in the hallways, and within the elevators. This as well never gets cleaned. Trails of blood, leading to the elevators.
Office staff are not properly informed with the same information. My boyfriend had a one bedroom apartment. We both decided to move in together. Went to the office to figure out what we would have to do to get a 2 bedroom apartment. Was told we would have to pay an application fee for just me. It would go under review due to this being a life changing event. We would also be put on a waiting list for the next apartment to come available at the bottom level, as per that was my request. Months go by, we heard nothing. My boyfriend called the office and was always told nothing was available. I then went to the office myself, inquired what is going on. Was told they did not know I was waiting for a 2 bedroom apartment. They thought we were waiting until his lease in the 1 bedroom apartment expired. Which is conflicting information, as they also said I would have to submit and pay the application fee. Which I already submitted and payed months prior. Finally we moved into our 2 bedroom apartment. Thinking everything is fine. 6 months later we look on our online portal they have charged us $175 for painting our old apartment. We also believe they literally just submitted this $175 charge. Due to us reporting one of there maintenance people having sexual relations in a maintenance closet and making so much noise during business hours. Which I also had my 7 year old nephew ask what the noise was. Had to have the birds and bees talk early. ( how pleasant is that right?!?!) Of course we believe this was in spite of us calling to report this issue as well. Now we are
My complaint has many dynamics to it. It's my overall experience from move -in to move-out. The leasing staff lies about security deposit issues, early moveout options aren't given correctly, maintenance issues took to much time to repair and I truely believe that due to the limited rent options in the area (due too crime), they feel they can get away with all these things. Fort Lee is not closing and the demand for hosing is great. It's just a shame the way military, (active duty, reservist and veteran's as well as there families) are treated.
I love the apartment. It's suitable to my urban life style
Wonderful staff, no mess/bugs at all. Plenty of parking, within walking distance to trendy restaurants and coffee houses. The only issue I had was that there was very little noise damping between the floors. I could hear everything from both my upper and lower neighbors.
I currently reside in these complexes. I highly recommend not moving into any complexes that reside with Plum Street Partners. It smells like marijuana, the management can't do anything about most problems you have, roach infestation, they're not courteous to military personnel, VERY, VERY THIN WALLS; its like someones walking in your apartment, limited hot water, and loud neighbors. Walls are so thin you could have a conversation with your neighbor. I highly recommend not moving into any complexes that reside with Plum Street Partners.
