For the most part my experience there was good. The maintenance staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I always felt comfortable welcoming them into my home, and they are quite frankly the only reason I would give this complex a 2 out of 5 stars.

At the beginning of May we notified the apartment complex of our plan to move out at the end of August, due to a desire for more space and a change of location. I turned in a letter to the front office right around the same time the normal office manager was out of office due to knee surgery. However, the assistant manager was there to take her place in the meantime.

After dropping off the letter, I notified the new apartment complex I was applying for. They requested that Cross Creek fill out a renters history verification and the assistant manager promptly filled out the form and faxed it back to my new complex. (The date on the fax time stamp matches that of my 60 day notice letter by the way.) On this renters verification it even states the exact date of our move out and that proper notice WAS given to Cross Creek.

However, now Cross Creek is claiming that we never gave them a 60 day notice and their manager even stated that they never filled out any renters history verification. After I sent them the copy I had of my renters verification, the manager denied any responsibility and they are still trying to charge me for an additional 2 months rent. Not to mention... they are also trying to charge me for a bed bug infestation and cleaning treatment. There was absolutely no evidence of bed bugs when we moved out or in our new apartment (which has the same furniture). My husband and I called up to the front office to check on the status of our move-out after dropping off the letter, and were assured by the assistant manager we would be out by the end of our lease. They are claiming it was my responsibility to file the appropriate paperwork even though they dropped the ball.

Additionally, upon move-out we will provide you with detailed documentation of any charges or damages so that you can be assured you are not charged for anything that was beyond your control. I was scheduled for an appointment on Saturday but was told that no tours were available because they are cleaning the model apartment. Someone could have called me back to let me know so I dont have to come all the way there for nothing.

My visit was not pleasant! The office assistant or manager was very rude! She could not show me an apartment and was unwilling to try! Not sure she realized I was a potential tenant! I wouldnt want to deal with her nasty attitude! Thanks but no thanks

I went to view an apartment and was told there were no apartments to show! The attendant was on the phone and never disconnected her call! Very rude! After much resistance she finally told me she could show me a unit next week! Thanks but no thanks! I told her she was very helpful! At least I know what/who I would be dealing with! Throw my application in the trash please!
