I would not move here. After one noise complaint with my kids they said one more time and they will put me out
The experience with this complex was disappointing and quite frankly one of the worst I have ever had. My fianc and I visited the complex in May and signed a lease for a June 8th move in date for an apartment with a yard for our two large dogs. It was made clear to the complex that we were moving across country from Arizona at the time of signing. Four days prior to our move in date, we received a call stating that our unit would not be available until June 12th. My fianc was already driving across country with our belongings and dogs. They said we could stay in a temporary unit with no yard until then. No offer was made for the inconvenience of a late move in date, the short notice or having to move twice. I had to ask for compensation for the inconvenience and even then was only offered a measly $200. Several phone calls later I was at least given $500 off after negotiating.
As if this weren't enough, when the move in date came, my fianc asked to see the apartment unit prior to signing the lease. When the employee opened the door, it reeked of cigarette smoke, to the point that the employee had to walk out of the unit because she couldn't handle the smell. There were also stains on the carpet. When he demanded something be done they stated they could use a chemical to help with the smell and clean the carpet. Not replace, clean. In a previous smoker residence. We decided to move to a different complex. Again, no compensation offered, they said they could not do anymore. The pictures attached are of the temporary apartment we were put in. Multiple bugs and pin needles were found all over the apartment. Additionally, the dog park on site is not kept clean there is dog feces everywhere and a wasp nest under the seating area which we were both stung by including our dogs. The trash can in the dog park is overflowing with bags of feces. I would highly reccommend not living in this complex.

HEALTH HAZARD!! Let me start with the worst. This is the third appartment i have lived in. A week after moving into this one we found a bed bug. Killed it on the spot. A few weeks later they were everywhere so we put in for an inspection and the vender came in and trashed our room (was expected but they didnt even try to fix anything they moved) he found bed bugs and reported that to the office. We went to the office later that day since we hadnt been told anything and they told us to prepare for them to come in that next tuesday(which they forgot to schedual us for) So we were and are (been almost over a month now) living out of trash bags thrown in our kitchen so we havent been able to cook anything and have spent alot of money on eating out. Also our furniture is all pushed into the middle of our rooms so we really havent had our appartment. Now they are saying we have to pay for the pest treatment. However we have never had any issues with bed bugs. The manager said it looks like they came over in the box spring from our last appartment at belmont. When i asked if they had any issues with bed bugs in our old appartment he didnt really have an answer so they dont have evidence that we truely brought them over but want to charge us for it. This is one of many issues ive had with them (including being charged $250 to replace a perfectly good microwave) but this by far has been the worst. I will never recommend belmont hills to anyone who asks have had too many problems. If they would let me just move out without paying entriely too much money i would.
When you move out of these apartments, they will do everything in their power to make sure you don't meet your 60 day notice and then try to charge you for the rent after you move out!! Then they will charge you for the carpets regardless!! Before moving out I had my carpets professional cleaned, they looked like I was just moving in!! They still charged me for stains that was not there! They are scammers so be ware. When you try to dispute the charges they will come up with multiple excuses as to what they did to reach you and when you pull facts they try to say well it is in your lease. How are you suppose to renew a lease if the details of that lease is never given to you?!!! I still to this day dont know the details of the new lease. I didnt renew because from a business stand point not giving me a month notice at the minimum to renew a lease is VERY bad business. They will claim they put it on your door but they never did. They will claim they sent you emails. When you pull your email and can find every other email except that one they act stupid and then say they gave you proper notification! They over charge for these apartments that break down on you! And when you call maintenance don't expect a follow up for weeks and that's if they follow up. The walls are paper then. This property SUCKS! I would not recommend to anyone!!
