If you're looking for downtown living, you should probably look somewhere else. After living at the property for more than 2 years, I can say without a doubt this is one of the most mis-managed properties I've encountered in a long time. During my residency at Metro, there were at least 4 different property managers, as well as a parade of different leasing consultants. What did that mean? You never got the same answer twice, and the property was never run appropriately. The constant turnover meant dirty walls, dirty carpets, vomit left in the stairwells for days, and pet urine in the elevator and mailroom/hallway leading out of the building. They'd claim free wi-fi in common areas, but depending on who the property manager was, the service would be "interrupted" for long periods of time. The place was great when Kristen managed it. Fine when Brittany was in charge. Went down hill with Rae and now it's a circus with Holly. If you want to take out your trash, you better stretch first. Most weekends the garbage chute in the 401 building was CLOGGED, with notices that they would fine you if you left trash outside of the chute door. Which meant you had to walk all the way to the 416 building to take your trash to the dumpster. There have been many times, when the key fobs stop working and you can't get into multiple entrances--you're LITERALLY locked out of your own apartment building. And the only door you could get it? Down a dark alley behind the church. It's insane. The only bright spot, in the entire community, was Ms. Yvette who basically due to the crazy turnover, had to try and keep the ship going herself as maintenance supervisor. And when you move out? You get charged a cleaning fee of $60 that isn't listed on your lease, or any addendum that you sign at move-in. And beware, most of downtown is the same management company. So it's not that much better at the other buildings. I'd recommend a Nusbaum, JRK, or Kotarides property instead.
