My wife and I loved living at the Icon building. The entire staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Every question was answered and every concern addressed quickly, effectively, and graciously. We loved the extraordinary view, how we could easily walk to numerous restaurants and attractions downtown, and the building's remarkable amenities including the beautiful roof top common spaces. We highly recommend this property.

Really love the floor to ceiling windows, 2nd floor lounge, rooftop deck, and quiet HVAC units. Nothing is worse in other apartments than trying to sleep with noisy Ac or heating clunking on and off or a noisy hum while on. These units are quiet! They are currently working on acoustically insulating windows from neighboring units and this place is still a work in progress. I believe once all the amenities are complete there will be nothing like it in Hampton Roads. All of the elevators are supposed to be complete this summer and they are getting first floor restaurant. Pool tables, movie theater, spa and amazing gym, large TVs, wine cellar, on-site storage units, and just a cool place to hang out on the 2nd floor and rooftop lounge. We just signed a lease and are waiting for our unit to finish, but we also have friends living there that really like this place. Antonio and Caroline have been great through the application process and I know they strive for high standards and resolve issues when they come up. More than just an apartment, you are right across from Waterside, and like a block from Granby street or MacArthur Center.

The building has such potential, but is in terrible shape, and management has been very rude with me as I've tried to have problems addressed. Water cutoffs, power outages, garage issues, etc. It's constant and overwhelming, and I'm so sad that I moved here.

As a beautifully restored historic building, we definitely understand initial move-ins to this building were put through an incredible amount of construction work needing to be scheduled or emergency issues which may have arisen in order to make the entire property better overall for the entire community. We only attempt to schedule work in the most convenient manner and times available, and take every step we can to communicate any time this needs to happen. We are also right with you on working with the City of Norfolk as much as we can to improve the city garage! As a new management company and completely new team who has just came on in the past few weeks, we definitely would love to have a conversation of how we can make the remainder of your time here with us the best possible. I have never had a worse experience with an apartment. It sure does look nice when you go on your tour. Take a tour. Enjoy the view. Then run for your life! There are 11 fees that I had no idea I was going to be charged for...eleven! They even charge you for the electricity for the common areas of the building. I have been incorrectly assessed fees several times so be sure to watch your bill each month. It seems they like to take advantage of people who aren't paying attention. The amenities in the building are not maintained. There is a serious lack of professionalism from the top down. All the way to the doorman. For the amount of money we pay here one would think we could find a doorman that at least smiled and said hello to the residents instead of being rude. I have had them barge into my apartment unannounced. I really could just write a book at how poorly this building is managed.

Its so awful! the rooftop space which we can reserve- it has mold in the ice machines. Several broken items (light fixtures, both bbqs, water faucet, etc). Trash shoots never work so trash is piled in the shoot closet. They make you pay for the utilities of the building which are more than double the utilities of your own unit. They charge you $35 to pay rent online. You cant burn a candle in your unit because the air will suck up the spot and blow it back out everywhere, literally everywhere. The building is so dirty. The recently changed management companys and this new company are amateurs and have no clue what they are doing even more, they are incredibly rude.
Dont live here.
