If you ever decide to live here, deal with the manager Phil... otherwise dont waste your time. Other than that, the apartments are okay nothing special. Our apartment in particular smelled like smoke so we opted out of that decision. Im sure there are better rooms available but make sure youre shown your exact room before signing!!! Also only first floor rooms have hardwood floors, so dont let the online pictures fool you.
The best thing about the apartments are the maintenance staff! They are super helpful, unlike the office staff who lack the ability to communicate properly with their renters. If you email them or leave a message, expect to hear from them in a few days (or not at all). Currently it feels like living in a construction zone with the 3847593 projects happening that cant seem to be finished in a timely manner. There are constantly work crews everywhere, resulting in loud banging before 8am (even on the weekends), and practically NO privacy. Ive had 3 nails in my tires due to the construction company not cleaning up after themselves. Not worth the money you have to pay to live here, spend the extra $100/month to move elsewhere.
The year we spent hear was one giant headache. Severe ant problems and enough roaches to make you uncomfortable. Said pest control sprayed but the problem persisted until we took care of it ourselves. Constant construction and noise the whole year we lived there. The pool didn't open well into July when we had looked forward to using it. The neighbors in the building next to us were outside daily asking for cigarettes and walking up to our car while we were trying to get ready for work and bugging us literally every day. Kia, the leasing agent always had a sour attitude I don't think I ever saw her smile. I left my trash bag outside my door for 15 minutes while I got my son ready once and I got a knock on the door from her threatening to charge me $50 if she saw it again. It was outside for no longer than 15 minutes... anytime my girlfriend or I needed to speak with we always left wondering who had upset her because she was never friendly. Went in one time just to get the balance I owed and she made snide comments which led to an argument. A paid employee for some reason thought it was ok to be nasty to a resident and I had to remind her why I was there. When I told her I was going to contact her manager she dared me too, even giving me one of her business cards just so I didn't forget who she was. Just terrible customer service all around, never once asked us how our experience on her part. Phil and Darcy were an exception to that as they were professional and courteous but that's about the only positive thing i have to say about that department. Bob, the head maintenance guy told me to not bother cleaning when we left because people rarely get their deposit back and it would be a waste of our time. A couple months after we moved in they changed owners and started renovations that were noisy and an eyesore they Didn't warn us about when we signed our lease.
Hunters Chase is a very nice community. Perfect location and friendly staff. So happy we chose here!
I think refrigerators should be upgraded to include ice makers. Secondly microwaves should be provided, and third, residents should not have to pay MONTHLY for parking.
