Colonial Village At Waterford

So I'm going to start this off by explaining why I gave this four starts. Moving in was a breeze and I was treated well and blah blah blah. NOONE told me about the gym they have or the car washing area until like a week before I moved out. Noones fault really I outlet never knew. Now, Mrs Barbara is by far the sweetest. Shes freaking awesome. Extremely respectful, always real, always has a smile on her face. I dont know the other people well but theyre nice too. All in all shes great and she will take care of you. Jay, who is one of the maintenance guys, deserves a freaking raise man. That guy is awesome too. Always friendly, down to earth, will stop everything that hes doing (Which is a lot cause I know he has to babysit the "temp" guys a lot) and help you if you need it. Hes offered to help with groceries when its 99 degrees out. He doesnt get paid for that. Always waves when he saw my car. Generally just a great guy. Befriend him cause it will help you when you move out. Trust me. The apartments arent bad at all, rent is a bit up there but considering location and the amenities, it makes sense and the handful of MAA employees I got to know were just awesome. Move here or dont its up to you, but I recommend them.

Colonial Villiage was a 5 star review when moving here. Now it is a one star. Let me start by saying if you have kids especially toddlers please do not move here. Management really don't care and will side with other people before you if you have young kids. Me and my boyfriend moved here Aug 2017 with our 2 year old and 1 year old. Everyone knows toddlers have short attention spans and they are in developmental stages. Our neighbors belows us are always complaining on our kids playing at reasonable hours and management seems to always side with them. Plus are neighbors below us use a broom to bang up to our floor. Now banging on a ceiling is a noise violation, not children playing and laughing!!! Management keeps saying the noise of our kids says it is in breech violations. Plus now they served us with with leaving our home Feb 20th without a court order or nothing. Nothing was delivered by a sheriff. They stated they left us a letter on 1/22 about this date, but nothing was received on that date. It's sad when it is suppose to be a "family oriented community " but act like it is a senior citizen community. It's they expect kids to sit around and be quiet 24/7.

We have always had wonderful service during our stay here. When we went to the office with questions or to retrieve a package that was delivered to the office instead of to our door. When we put in a maintenance request online, it is promptly taken care of (within 3 days). The model that we live in is not updated, but is still in good condition. We love the space this apartment offers. The only complaint we have about this complex is the tenants often do not clean up after their dogs so there is dog feces all over :/ Other than that, it has been a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend this complex, but will say, it is a bit more expensive to rent here. But you get what you pay for!

Love living here! Property is kept up well, close to lots of things, and helpful staff.
