Point at Park Stations does an excellent job maintaining the building and grounds. They maintain landscaping practically every two weeks if not every week. Maintenance request are handled in a reasonable amount of time. Point at Park Station does a excellent job with doing annual inspections of the apartment to inspect HVAC and working order of appliances. The community and quiet and respectful.

It's a good place to live. It's close to the station (2 min walking), good amenities, nice neighborhood.

I have been a resident of the Point since February 2019. I moved to the area from southern VA having sold my 4K Sq Ft home. I did a bit of research on the area and comparable apartments in the area and a few across the county and I found the Point to be the best compromise for location, size and cost. I am paying for a two bedroom apartment what I had for a mortgage on my home, but I reasoned that I would be giving up a bit to move closer to work. I've had a few issues with my apartment (clothes washer leaked a little, an electrical outlet did not work properly and the dishwasher would not drain at one point), but the maintenance staff fixed ALL of these problems promptly and expertly. Turns out the washer splashed too much because I had not put enough clothing in it, LOL. I have a dog and I thought that he might have an issue with possible noise and so many other people being around but like me he has adjusted very well to apartment living and the community is no louder than any other community that has working adults and children at play. My apartment size is decent and it is very comfortable (like anything else you make your space your own) and the degree of light that I can get into my space through the windows and terrace door is incredible. I found that I was even able to paint the rooms any color I choose just as long as I prime them back to white before I leave the apartment at my lease end. I am on the third floor and my apartment has vaulted ceilings which gives my space a dramatic look. From my lease application to date I have found the leasing and management staff to be professional, and accommodating. I have noticed that the gates in the community have not been working but I don't see this as an issue personally because we are living in a good area and I don't see the actual need for the gate.In fact I would reason that if and when we get a bit of snow that having the gate stuck shut might pose an even bigger problem if one was trying to get to work

I got into a car accident which resulted in neck injuries and financial burden. I got a rental car and had the car for less than two nights when it was towed. I did neglect to get a parking pass, but I had more serious issues on my mind.
When I went to get my car from the tow company the man told me I could talk to management but then added that the management for the Point at Park station were terrible people to deal with and would be very unhelpful with helping me out in my situation. I thought that was strange.
I still went to the office and told them about my whole situation. I basically had an emotional break down in front of management explaining everything I was going through and apologized for not thinking about getting a parking pass. I did ask them to help me out, after all, I had been a resident for three years and recommended this community to lots of new teachers arriving to the county.
The management simply said now they could not help me out at all because they had to do the same for everyone towed. Then she added that I should have gotten a parking pass online.
I'm sorry, but to me, I want to live somewhere where there is a community and the management cares about the well being of their residents. I've never felt so uncared for in all my life. I know that rules are rules but I thought this was handled with little empathy or care.
Also, the gym equipment is always broken, the trash collection sights are always despicable with trash bags everyone on the sidewalks, and management will just change the lease fine print and resident expectations to fit their competency (or lack there of) of maintaining the grounds.

If I could give less than one star, I would. I have been a resident of Park Station since August 2015. When I signed my lease, this place was still advertised as a gated community. My husband and I moved here because it was close to the VRE (as I commute to DC) and it was a considered a gated community so I felt a little safer. Unfortunately, the gates may have worked once throughout my entire time living here.
This place is also infamous for having hidden fees. Just this past summer we were getting a $35 fee added unbeknownst to me. This fee wouldn't show until after I paid my rent since I prepaid it every month. We soon learned we were being charged for not having renters insurance when we did. We had to contact management to have it rectified. No one from the front office contacted us requesting this information. We were just being charged and the line item didn't state for what.
We were also charged two $75 fees on top of our monthly rent. When the website timed out and didn't show our payment as going through, we went through the payment process again to soon realize they both were accepted. Accordingly, no one wants to pay rent twice so we called the front office and was told that they couldn't do anything and that we should call our bank to stop it. As someone whose worked in banking, we knew that placing a stop payment would prevent the rent from coming out altogether.
