When you walk into The Cosmopolitan at Lorton Station, you'll sense immediately that this is a residence with more. A lot more. Luxury living begins with great design. For example, the Cosmo's lobby greets you with refined details like exposed brick, distinctive tiling on the floor and central hearth, a copper ceiling, and glass block. In your apartment, you'll choose from a wide variety of high-end features and finishes like stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, cathedral ceilings, hardwood flooring, and abundant closet space. That's because our community was originally built to be condominiums. Conveniently located at the junction of I-95, Route 1, and Fairfax County Parkway, reaching your favorite destinations will now be easier: Potomac Mills, George Washington's Mount Vernon, Springfield, Old Town Alexandria, National Airport, National Harbor, and even downtown Washington DC. More to do. More places to relax at home. More ways to enjoy your life.

We moved into Cosmopolitan just over a month ago and are very happy here. The entire office staff especially Kim that showed us around the first time, has been very helpful making the transition an easy one for us. Our apartment is beautiful with modern appliances and they do a great job in keeping the building updated. The location is great right at Lorton Station by the restaurants, near the highway, public transportation (including the VRE), and Costco which is convenient. The gym and running paths are accessible if you desire to stay fit. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a newer apartment complex in a beautiful neighborhood!
A/C is grossly undersized for the upper loft apartments. I moved in on 23 September 2017, the ambient temperature was 89 degrees, the interior temperature rose to 81 degrees; which is a violation of the Virginia landlord tenant act (VRLTA 55-248.13) which stipulates 80 degrees as the maximum legal temperature. I called maintenance and Inmar arrived and told me that the A/C was working and there is nothing that he can do. I asked him basic questions such as the what was the tonnage on the unit and what was the output temperature and he was unable to answer basic questions, then he informed me that he was not licensed to work on HVAC. This building was build architecturally well in the 1980s, but has serious maintenance issues. The maintenance people tried to feed me excuses such as the roof gets hot in the summer, but I have installed and worked with thousands of HVAC units but have only seen one example of a unit this underperforming and that was on an illegally rented trailer in North Carolina.
We needed a short term rental that allows pets and we found it at The Cosmopolitan. The staff is super to work with, any issues are dealt with immediately. The unit was fresh and larger than expected, the patio is a nice bonus. Super convenient location to shopping and travel. Nice amenities and indoor parking, easy street parking too.
