Riverside Park

Renters beware! Was looking for a place for my 20 y/o. We looked at Riverside Park Apts. as a potential option. I wasn't expecting perfection because I grew up in low income/income restricted housing but I was however expecting decent living conditions for my daughter IF she moved into this complex. Firstly, the model apartment that was shown is absolutely NOT a true representation of what my daughter was going to be living in! Not even close. I know the model apartment is suppose to draw potential tenants in (it's like "click bait") but after I saw what unit my daughter would be staying in I was horrified!!! I'll get to that next. Ms. Penny was very nice. Before I took a sneak peak at my daughter's "potential" apt. Ms. Penny stated that her apt WAS renovated because I inquired about the price of the rent. She said the higher end of the rent ($1045.00) was for renovated Apts. Great, so we are excited. My daughter & I agree on a unit. Ms. Penny had my daughter's unit # on the paper. As we were leaving out, I noticed the unit was empty & the door was opened. I wanted to take a sneak peak to check out dimensions & overall conditions. The apartment looked like a trap house apartment!! The carpet was nasty with cigarette burns/stains & the bathroom was something straight out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre!! The linoleum was curled back with mold in the underlayment! The floor itself was soft due to extensive water damage from the seal around the tube leaking & the tub was chipped up with paint peeling off!! I was mortified. I immediately went back to the leasing office & spoke with Ms. Penny. I told her there is nothing renovated in that apartment!!! Any repairs done in that apartment NEEDED to be done to make it habitable for anybody!! She stated she said the apartment WOULD be renovated when we spoke earlier. That wasn't true at all! It was stated it was already renovated. I've seen weekly budget inns/motels in better shape than that unit!

Looking to move in within two to three weeks

I lived there 20 some odd years ago. I loved it .I am looking for a 2 bedroom hopefully on the bottom floor. I have problems walking so stairs won't be good for me. Thank you

I just move in, love my apartment and the view is awesome. Maintenance did a great job on my apartment. Thanks, Penny for all the help

On site manager is an excellent assest. The buildings and parking lots could use work. There is a lot of maintenance work that has been over looked and half way completed.
