We had issues upon moving in. But they were resolved. Maintenance is excellent. The apartment that we are currently in which is T1421 is the best location. It is very close to the pool. And we have the best parking no issues. Other apartments having issues with parking. We have wonderful Neighbors on each side of us. Outback there are tons of squirrels and birds. If you are thinking about moving I would move into this apartment it is the best one. Along with brand new electric meter. We have not had any bug issues. It is a great community.
What a nightmare. Unbelievably binding contract that will charge you $50 for discontinuing utilities to the apartment when you move out. Staff is completely rigid and unwilling to be humane or decent about any part of entering or exiting the lease. My rent went from $658 to 696 to 854 before auto-renewing at $1,274 (!!!) for two months. Every part of dealing with them has been a complete disaster.
It's like dealing with a tow company- except the stakes are much higher. Dreadful. Avoid at all costs.
They have the worst management staff. They would never answer your calls and never respond to divorce message that you leave. When sending them a message they never respond to that either. You have to go down there to the office in person. And then you're giving the runaround. Upon moving in, our apartment was dirty. They were supposed to have added our pet to the Lee sandwich I had a special needs pet letter. Can you find out they never updated that information. I got a letter stating I had seven days to respond to an unauthorized pet or eviction would be taking place. They responded that day never heard anything went down to the office I hope it was just a mistake on our part we're going to get paperwork for you to sign in which we have inquired about that now over five times. Two months later still no paperwork to sign. Called and asked about a dishwasher over a month ago they have not responded to that. They do not respond they do not care about their tenants very unprofessional in my opinion. Do not rent from these people. I could go on and on about bad experiences I have had.
The leasing process was long and tedious but the employees are kind and try to be efficient as possible. Something they should tell you up front is that there is no dishwasher in some of the apartments and its an extra 70 bucks (though a 1 time fee) to have one put in. But of course you would be giving up counter and cupboard space. The place had one dead roach in it when we moved in. We asked to get the place sprayed again and I havent seen anything since- so thats okay. The neighborhoods are really quiet and nice. They have different neighborhoods in the west end and on Monument. The place is spacious. Its bare bones though. No microwave either. There are just small things you dont realize arent there and when you move in youre like !crap! I forgot to check for that.
Something else they should go over when viewing the place is that it does have lead based paint. Its been treated and as long as the paint doesnt start chipping you should be fine. You have to pay one flat fee a year for parking. Its like 25 bucks or so. Oh! And 40 bucks a month for a super old and super tiny washer and dryer. These fees start adding. Again, I like the area its in. The YMCA is super convenient and its very quiet. Its not a bad place to live.
I started out in Richmond here and I'm moving back as I downsize from my home with my late husband.
