I apologize for the long review ahead of time but please read if youre looking to move here!

Honestly, if I could give Amberleigh 0 stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. I never leave bad reviews, I usually give places multiple chances but this place deserves the reviews they get. I have lived here for 9 months. These have by far been the worst 9 months of my life due to poor living conditions from Amberleigh. So when we moved here nobody decided to tell us that there is no central A/C. EVEN THOUGH, air conditioning is apart of the amenities listed on the website. Its a lie. It was January when we moved in. It was cold and so therefore the A/C wasnt used. But we got a heat wave in the spring before they turned on the A/C. A week straight of 80 and 90 degree weather and nobody had any answers as to when air conditioning would be turned on. The first office even sent maintenance to my home because I had no idea why my A/C wasnt working! I have two small children and pregnant with our third so everyone in the house was miserable. During this time, management changed electric company and actually informed their tenants. Which if you read all the other reviews you will see Amberleigh doesnt like to inform tenants on anything. Anyways, they did, however they leave out the part that our electricity bill would be an extra hundred dollars a month. So summer comes and A/C barely works. The doors and windows arent sealed properly and even though you have a thermostat in your home, you cant actually control the A/C. Oh, and the units dont come with fans to circulate so it stays stagnant in the house especially when its humid. Speaking of humidity, my bedding is wet every night because of the humidity. Its awful. Its currently 85 degrees with 100% humidity and management has turned off the chiller according to maintenance. So air is blowing but its not cold. Again, nobody informed tenants of this. Please read other reviews from other websites. It will save you!

The buildings are very old, you hear the neighbor move very loudly, you feel like the ceiling will fall apart if they only walk.
Unprofessional management, late response and the air condition system is not that good, very old system.

I love my new apartment however the people above me walk very loudly. However I am unsure if the floorboards are just old or they have very heavy feet. There are a lot of branches outside and with all the snow now there are patches of ice. My dog and I have slipped a couple of times. My poor dog slid into her bottom.

Entrance to building is pretty with a glass door. When office has an announcement (recently fire alarm bells) they paste it on the door like a high school gym. Also, no sense of triage, i.e. I called because toilet was overflowing. Verbal response I'll put it on the list. One time my husband called because toilet was on brink of overflowing, saying the toilet is very sluggish. Response was sluggish..? what does that mean? et al.

The Amberleigh is a decent place to live for a year or two. It has it's positives (nice layout/renovations) and cons (poor floor/wall insulation). Treat the management and leading specialist as sales people and make sure you stick to your budget and keep all paper work. Maintenance completes tasks timely; however, most of the work are bandaids. The Amberleigh is a large and older community, so I'm sure it is a tough task to maintain. Landscaping is nice; however major concern about snow removal
