Mice and roach infestations so bad you could see them in the daytime. We had a mold issue in all 3 bedrooms where the vent would leak water causing black mold on the drywall and flooded carpets causing us to sleep in the living room for safety while it dried. Our last day there was Sept 17th. On September 14th we called the leasing office to come do a walk through to cover our butts so we didn't get any shady move out fees. The gentleman came did a walk through and told us everything looked good and that it was normal wear and tear. We moved out September 17th, and this morning I get a $1200 invoice for the carpet and walls! I call the rental office and guess what? The leasing agent that gave me the thumbs up no longer works for UDR! The leasing office says to call Colorado which is the corporate office. So I call there explain the situation and get told tough luck if the employee isn't there there's no proof? On top of that the people at corporate had a very rude attitude and spoke down to me with an antagonistic tone both times I called. Avoid this place, you get what you pay for. It's sad that even the corporate office acted this way towards us.
You pay everything including your parking parking is not free and the unit is not really updated all is carpet
Excellent customer service... leasing office was very friendly. The tour I had with Fanny was very enjoyable.
Thorough walk through of everything. Very quick process - immediate results on background check. They were upfront and honest about costs and fees.
This complex is squalid. Urine, fecal matter, vomit, rotting food, garbage, paper refuse, are frequently found in the hallways, elevators, and public areas. Despite a monthly charge for pest control, roaches are a constant issue.
Although noise was a "minimal concern" for us, we did hear partying, ball playing, and bike riding in the hallways at all times of the day and night.
Our car was damaged in the unsecured garage. It was damaged both by human and structural agents. Scratches came both from car door damage, apparent purposeful "keying," and ceiling parts falling on the car.
The management is ambivalent. Complaints regarding the issues above are often met with just a "thank you for letting us know" note if anything it all. What is a constant, is that nothing changes.
As one reviewer pointed out, you might encounter an issue with lease copies and other documents. Things get lost, wrong or incomplete copies are given to residents. This, of course, causes major issues because the management does not wish to admit fault or take corrective measures.
