I have read other reviews about Ashton Creek and I have honestly lived here twice with little disruption. It is tucked back into a wooded setting and is extremely quiet. I understand the apartments are almost 30 years old and have a vintage feel but the renovations the management company put in are very modern and bring the apartments back into what the demand these days are. Wood floors through out with carpet in bedrooms, new kitchen appliances and countertops. You get what you pay for and the Maintenance and management staff are very nice and approachable. They host a lot of resident events to really try to give more back to the residents and I wish more residents took advantage of the events because they really allow us to come together and talk and meet our neighbors. If youre looking for flawless, brand new apartments in Richmond be prepared to spend $1500 on a one bedroom a month, but the price is adequate for the finishes and area for Chester and meets all my wants without the hefty price tag allowing me to live a more beautiful life.
This place over charges for the type of customer service it provides. They hit you with unnecessary charges but takes forever to come out and fix anything. I was without water for 2 days and they couldnt explain why nor thought of it as an emergency. They really need to get theirselves together or lower the rent.
I wish I could give this apartment complex I higher rating, however, after being without air-conditioning for going on 5 weeks now, I have had enough. The staff does nothing but make excuses and the maintenance staff appears to be incompetent at best. I am happy to say that I am moving out and will not have to endure the rest of the summer without AC. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
I give this complex a 2 stars based on schools. The complex changed management 4 times within the last 3 years. The leasing and maintenance staff do not have customers services abilities. The maintenance staff reports tickets completed without doing them. Everyday the property rules and regulations are being made without residences being informed. I cant wait to leave now my child graduation.
Old appliances runs the electric bill very high. Heat pump which is from '83 cost us $200/m for a 2nd floor 1/bdr apt @ 70F. Thankfully the apartment never goes below 65F so we just turn the heat off...yet it still cost us $120/m for the fridge (leaking '87)which is kept at 40F to save money w/ no heat. Hot water tank barely gets hot. Mold seems to be a problem around windows. Took 3+months for maintenance to fix the fridge leak & light switch. I will be looking for new unit or complex.
