Wellllllll.....the amber in a great area the heart of greenbrier. great schools close to all shopping.
Neighborhood......well my neighbors are very noisey verbally and loud music ive notified leasing office theyve done absolutly nothing but when someone calls them as say my children are loud they call me and ask me to quiet down. so i have to call police to disturbing the peace since they cant do anything about it.
Clubhouse.......it was told to me that the clubhouse was open 24hrs such as their similar communities within the bonadventure group....LIES. only the gym is 24hrs. during the business day when the office is open is the only time you can go to the rest of the clubhouse. not really provdind you access to you luxury amenities if you work majority. not only is it only open during business hours but all doors lock at 4pm whcih is 2-3 hours before the office is closed which means youll have to go downstairs to ask them to open a door for you. very inconvenient and non luuxurious. i dont pay 1600 a month to be screened upon going into a room or not having room available when i feel like playing a game of billards. Staff are very nonchalant like when you talk to them they just give an answer and dont really care no real solution. seems like they are just there for a check. sometimes even rude. dont be fooled by their courtrous behavior and manner to get you in the door. after you sign the lease they will turn into the biggest jerk ever especially the maintaince supervisor i believe his name is rob or somehting such a rude snoby jacka**. my advice, nice looker but if your looking for a nice luxury neighborhood RUN go elsewhere. nothing ever works fire pit always down, printers always down in business center, and the media room tv never works properly nor does it have an xbox as advertised nor does the surround sound work. it sucks only thing luxury about the amber is the prices.
****ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, DO NOT RENT FROM HERE****
(IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SECURITY IT IS WORTH THE READ, TRUST ME)
If I could give this place a 0/5 stars, I would. Everything was fine when I moved there in the beginning, and then I was deployed and that is when everything changed. They got rid of everyone who was originally there and got all new staff. It all started in March, when I was deployed and my sister and mother in law would check on our place from time to time. They noticed things looked slightly different here and there, didn't really think much of it. Then one day they saw my purse was lodged underneath my closet door and was rummaged through. There would be potato chip crumbs all over the couches, and they thought that was strange. One day, my sister in law cleaned the parts of our Keurig and let them dry on the counter and a couple days later she returned and they were all on the floor. Finally, my mother in law set up a camera because she would tell the management and they really didn't care what she had to say. They made excuses saying I probably gave a key to one of my friends and they were hanging out there. Sure enough, the MAINTENANCE GUYS were hanging out in my apartment while I was deployed. Once again, mother in law told the management and they really didn't have much to say, just swept it under the rug. We came back and demanded out of the lease because I didn't even feel safe living there anymore. They said we would need to pay this and pay that to get out of it, but we told the head girl and she said she would let us out early, not penalty. Do you want to know why she let us out, no penalty? Because WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES THIS WAS HAPPENING TO. There were other cases of the same thing happening. Also, they changed the locks twice and the second time around, the strike plate was completely missing on the door, a 12 year old kid could kick the door open he wanted to.
We moved in just before the transition from Ivystone to The Amber. The Amber is much more organized, more more customer focused and respectful. They always ask before coming into the apartment and deal with any maintenance requests promptly.
The staff and property management are wonderful and always polite and helpful the only issue is the tenants not being respectful of the property ( leaving trash on the ground, cigarette butts on the ground in walkways, and speeding through parking lots causing safety issues for children and people pulling out). Other than that this is a great place to live and the staff are great and definitely dedicated to providing whatever services are needed to please us tenants. Assigned parking?
The reason I gave it Average is because there are still bugs every once in a while. The outside near the front doors need to be cleaned up. There are leaves and papers scattered about. Also, the first level patio should be made more privatized.
