The Reserve is a luxury apartment complex without the luxury staff or amenities. Many of the amenities at the Reserve are constantly unavailable or out of order. The staff also has difficulty dealing with member's complaints in a professional and caring way. Overall, I would say that the staff at the Reserve are unprofessional and uncaring about their residents. Due to my dissatisfaction with the Reserve I will not be renewing my lease nor will I be recommending the Reserve to others.
I lived there for three years in a top floor apartment. It was a very quiet, nice place to live. I only had to request maintenance a couple of times, so that shows that everything in the apartment was in great shape when I moved in. The pool and pool area was always clean and nice, and the resident activities like cookouts were really fun. The area always felt safe. I would recommend anyone live there.
Price is a little high for being so far away (far away for Charlottesville). Had a few issues with appliances and small maintenance issues that took longer than expected to get fixed but overall very happy with the quality. Landscaping and appearance of the area is top notch. Love the gym, pool, and movie room. The apartments are overall very well made and spacious. Also love that things are very dog friendly.
The first year we lived here there were a lot of issues with the air conditioning during the summer on the 4th floor. Sometimes the apartment would get up to 80+ degrees even after it was fixed. Eventually, it was fixed again and it did work but it was after suffering through the summer. Everything has been and comfortable this summer so far. I do think there needs to be more cleaning of the staircases. I see a lot of animal hair and debris from move-ins quite often. Everything else is good!
