Very friendly when we were looking for a place, we just popped into the office and Sherry stopped what she was doing and showed us what they had. I am active duty Army and had been living in a hotel for two weeks with my wife 3 year old and two cats so we were ready to move in and they got us in quickly
It is very clean, the appliances are nice and rent is low. Management is pretty good about sending maintenance workers when needed. Free parking is a plus
Terrible location, and leasing office tends to be snippy. If youre a college student and have to take the bus, theres a strip where you wont have a sidewalk. Not to mention the bus ride is a long one.
If there are maintenance repairs on your apartment, the staff often doesnt tell you they are/were working in your place, and dont lock your door when they leave.
Since its right next to a high residency area, theres a boatload of traffic that passes by. Since towing isnt enforced, other residents at Tabor will park on the road, clogging up the street.
Also, know that while rent might be low, you have to pay for electricity, water, garbage disposal, sewage service, internet and cable, and that the office wont reimburse you if something goes wrong (like if theres a leak and your water bill goes up).
Some rowdy neighbors give the complex a little bit of a downgrade. But you get those anywhere. The neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous and quiet, and very comfortable.
It is a very nice space with a cozy feel. I like that I am able to do laundry, cooking, etc. all within my own home and that parking doesn't require a small hike. I wish there was a bus stop nearby because walking to one is kind of scary and VT parking passes are quite expensive. That's one of the only things I think I'd change. PUT IN A BUS STOP, please!
