Crystal House

I was the ideal tenant for 1 year. When I moved out the apartment was extremely clean with no damage or trash left for staff to dispose of. Crystal House does NOT return security deposits. The office staff is NO help and only gives an email for information but NO response. I called Roseland Properties and left messages but NO response. 5 months later and NO security deposit and NO answers !!! Pitiful !!!

Roaches and Mice . Please avoid living at Crystal House If you can. I should have read the reviews thoroughly before moving in. Despite multiple pest control services the roaches continue to multiple and the issue has escalated to mice. The apartment might look nice from the outside but please do not be fooled. I'm not one to give negative reviews to I want to make sure no one ever goes through what I'm dealing with.

How to sum up my time at Crystal House? I would first say save your money and don't let the lipstick on this pig fool you. The pool is pretty much the only redeeming quality I can find at this property. In 12 months of living at Crystal House, I've had 11 maintenance requests. Mind you not for changing a light bulb but serious issues like on the hottest day of the year having no A/C. Then there's the awesome experience of coming home to the ceiling in my bathroom fallen into my tub and water coming through the remaining ceiling. It was pouring onto my floor and flooding which I had to use my bath towels to sop it up and try and not let it spread. Well, the good news is it only takes between 4 to 7 days for maintenance to respond and take care of issues. The bad news is they really don't fix it since the repair quality is a joke. My bathroom ceiling for example now has waves in it and looks lopsided. There's so much I could point to about the property and what you are paying for that fall well short of ever delivering on a "luxury" living experience. A few listed below are the following: 1. Grills don't actually work or if they do the ignition system doesn't so you have to risk getting burned to light them. 2. The property doesn't clean around the back doors where some irresponsible residents let their dogs urinate on the building itself and fail to clean it so it reeks of urine and garbage. 3. Walls are thin you hear EVERYTHING. Nothing like being woke up at 3AM to the sounds of your neighbor well you know! 4. Yep it's true ROACHES! 5. Very transitionary residents... very few if any long-time residents most are there then gone so a lack of real community. 6. I can say that the staff at best are apathetic. At the property, I would say that if not for continued persistence that you as a resident are to pay rent, live in your apartment, and feel privileged that you may live at this sow. I have decided to leave at the end of my lease which is soon.

When you are locked out of your apartment and the leasing office is closed (and let's face it, this is going to happen to everyone at least once) they force you to pay $100. They reprint a brand new fob for you and then they walk you to your door, but they do not give you the fob as a spare key. Instead, to get a spare key, you get to pay an extra $50 on top of that. You can only get the spare key while the leasing office is open. It is alarming that they have to print a spare key when the leasing office is closed. What happens when there is a fire? Firemen will have no way to access the rooms quickly. They've made some updates to the apartments, but think again before living here. There are hidden costs up the wazoo. This is only one example.

I had a wonderful experience at Crystal House! If I had a maintenance issue, it was taken care of immediately. If I had any concerns, the office responded quickly. The front desk receptionists are absolutely amazing! Professional and helpful ALL of the time. Thank you Crystal House!
