We've lived here over three years and have moved within the building from a 2b/2b to a 1b/1b apartment to cut down on costs. The building is sadly starting to show its age and cheap make even though it's barely 5 years old. The staff have very high turn over and often don't follow up on things they say they will. The TVs in the party room have been dead since the Caps won the Cup in 2018, and the game room has been defunct since mid 2016. The walls are really thin and you can hear the conversations of your neighbors. The Starbucks machine that gives complimentary coffee breaks down on a weekly basis. For the amount we pay, it's ridiculous to have these amenities out.
Maintenance is taken care of within a day typically (if not, you're certainly contacted within one to schedule the repair). I have had here are with fellow neighbors bringing in non-residents and taking advantage of our amenities to blast music in the common areas at the wee-hours of the morning.
By the way, take all the ratings with a HUGE grain of salt. We get entered into raffles for gifts if we post ratings. $100 gift cards and such.
The staff are amazing and super kind. They're also very professional. There's lots of community events, the property is beautiful, and the amenities are awesome. 10/10 for the price.
The Parker gave me an amazing deal that really made living in luxury something that could be affordable for me. They also made sure I was able to move-in less than a day after I got my paperwork signed. The amenities are great and the community adheres to quiet hours without feeling restrictive. The gym is great is never packed. The only thing I wish they had more of is lights-- but that's an easy fix. Maintenance has also handled each of our requests in 24 hours or less. I love it here!
Living at The Parker was a joy. The community was beautiful and everything met or exceeded my expectations. The only reason I ended up moving away was to be closer to work. Had it not been for that, I would have continued to happily rent at The Parker. The staff was fantastic and the apartment was amazing. It was a great apartment to live at.
Great community! Feels like home
Luxury has never been so inspiring. At The Parker, distinctive features and one-of-a-kind amenities make it hard to leave home. But if you do head out, this brand new community is located less than 90 feet from the Huntington Metro Stop, which services Metros Yellow Line and offers residents quick, convenient access to downtown Washington, D.C., the Pentagon, Reagan National Airport and access to the Rosslyn?Ballston Corridor. The Virginia Railway Express and Amtrak are also one stop from the King Street Metro station. Leasing May 2015.
