Great location in SLC. Economical compared to equivalent options.
The apartments and the area around them isn't so bad, but it is incredibly hard to get ahold of the office staff. Over the last 7 months that I have lived here, I've left 3 voicemails, all asking for a callback, and have never received one. Also, there isn't a safe place to drop off rent, and so if I stop by while the staff are out showing a unit, I just have to slip my payment under the door hoping that they get it.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I wish I could give it 0 stars. If you can get past the broken sinks, dishwashers, heaters, swamp coolers, fridges, doors, and anything else, you still have to deal with cockroaches and bed bugs. Its really not the maintenence men's fault though. They are so swamped with work orders youre looking to wait at least a couple days before they can even come look at it. And their budget is next to nothing. If you're lucky enough to have the bug guy come spray your apartment, it won't even matter because they will just keep coming. After I found one crawling on my 3 month old son in his crib, I went to the office crying. The lady who works in there, Ashley, did not even care. She was very rude about it and insisted that there was not a cockroach problem. The manager eventually told me they would call me to set up a time to bug bomb the place. I called 4 times, never got a call back. Every time I went into the office, they were "busy". Finally reported them to the health department, and got a notice saying I had 3 days to clean my unit since "the clutter was making the spraying pointless." They hadn't sprayed yet and our unit was spotless. The fees are ridiculous. 70% of the utility bill is for the community pool and laundry room. Parking passes are a joke, and even if you have one there is no guarantee you won't get towed at your expense because "he couldn't see it". I could go on and on. Your money is better spent elsewhere. Trust me.
Things that should have been fixed or repaired since I moved in have not been fixed, and it's going on 5 months now. It took 3 months to get the the swamp cooler fixed, and 1 month later they turned them off. I have battled cock roaches and mice which I have NEVER had to deal with before. The complex is pet friendly, but there is always dog feces on the lawns so you can't walk anywhere without getting your shoes soiled. The redeeming factor is the wonderful office staff and new maintenance man.
