Trash and dog poop everywhere, mice traps outside of apartment doors, when you take the photos to the office they dont seem to care.

Part 1. My spouse and I chose this "luxury apartment" because we had lived in a cheap place before. Our previous residence had Section 8 government housing WHICH IS FINE. I totally understand the need for programs like this. However, it tends to create a certain environment and attracts certain... problems. Part of the reason we chose to live in a "luxury apartment" was to have a different experience. We now pay $600 more than we did before, and wouldnt you know it, someone from our old building WHO HAD BEEN EVICTED now lives in our "luxury apartment" building. So, the quality of people is you know. Not great, especially as far as "luxury" goes. Fun fact. They will tow your car after putting a sticker on it 24 hours in advance, without calling you or emailing you or anything. They will tow your car EVEN IF YOU HAVE A TAG AND PAY FOR THE SPACE. They will tow your car if your registration tags are expired. WTF. Why do they care if my tags are expired? Also- total double standard because MANY CARS HAVE EXPIRED TAGS AND DON'T GET TOWED. MY CAR WAS ONLY TOWED AFTER I STARTED COMPLAINING TO MANAGEMENT ABOUT ISSUES I HAD WITH MY UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOR. Fun fact. A "luxury apartment" should be quiet right? No paper-thin dorm floors and the like. While have never heard my next-door neighbors, thank heavens, my upstairs neighbors are some of the loudest people I have ever heard. Granted they have kids, but my upstairs neighbors in college that partied were quieter, so there is that.

While unfortunately it seems like unexpected fees are the most grieved about item, it's also not accurate because there are soooo many things great about this apartment complex. Fees just seem to be the one that people get most worked up about. Staff has always gone above and beyond , recently helped us transition to a new unit, were incredibly patient, and crystal clear on what all charges we could expect and when. I did run into the issue of being charged too much upon move out, but was diligent in taking photos and explaining to the asst. Manager the issues. What helped my case was we were moving to a new unit that wasn't properly made ready, and quite honestly was in worse condition than the one we just moved out of. That's primarily the responsibility of their maintenance, and told them that their standards and oversight could drastically improve. I hope they heard me and made changes. The touch up paint was a different color than the original, so check that before you completely move in and ask for a full repaint if needed. In the end, they did reduce my charges by more than half, and management expressed gratefulness at how detailed I was in sharing my efforts at making the apt ready for the next tenant and documenting issues with the new unit. If you are helpful instead of demanding and entitled, naturally people respect that. Aside from fees, their gym is AMAZING. Few people use it considering how large the complex is, and I've appreciated the variety and quality of equipment, not to mention a great pool view while running on the treadmill. Their theater room, pool and lounge area are top notch too. The units themselves are quite sound proof compared to other complexes. I usually only hear upstairs neighbors if there are kids running down the hallway or they dropped something. Plus, you can't beat the location. Walkable, close to shopping, and sharing a street with Sandy police station. Can't get safer than that. Highly recommend.

I live at these apartments for a year. I honestly liked the building itself. The lightning definitely sucks in these units, but its bearable. The residents are also very nice. Seems like they have a high turnover. With that said I think they have some unnecessary fees or charge too much. For example their amenity package was $145 last March when I signed my lease. Its actually gone up to $150. It doesnt include cable. Its literally just internet and valet trash. Other complexes offer cable and charge about the same. They also dont make it clear on what you will be charged for rent every month on top of you unit rent. There are admin fees every month and utilities that are split for the entire building. I just moved out this Saturday 3/28. I asked to be at the walk through. The person at the front desk said she wasnt sure about them allowing that because of the virus and wouldnt let me schedule. I was afraid of them charging me for things that were not wrong with the apartment and sure enough. They dont tell you that your deposit will be used for utilities even though you paid the last months rent. OK, I guess utilities are a month behind. $55 for carpet clean. Thats not bad. Totally cool with that. $25 for paint- when I never hung a picture and made sure furniture didnt rub on the walls. Not cool. I cleaned the baseboards and walls with magic eraser to get any dirty off. They supposedly spent an hour painting. I highly doubt that. I even took a 6 min video where I went over every wall to show that there was nothing wrong and they are still charging me. I shared the photos and video with them. Some may think its $25, but I made sure that I was careful while living there. Its the principle. Not only that, but common areas have been closed. Gym/hot tub/ theatre room for a few weeks. I dont see them giving a break on charges for that.

I am posting this review because this might be the ONLY avenue they are concerned with, and we might FINALLY get some sort of response or resolution. I give 1 star because 0 is not an option. OVERALL REVIEW OF STAFF - Predatory Sales Practices. Lack of Communication. Condescending When Speaking to Tenants. OVERALL REVIEW OF COMPLEX - The Place is Beautiful and The Website Highlights a Variety of Amenities. But Upon Move In You Find Out...It Does Not Exist. Just a Few Items Of Concern - wrong keys - no access code - no business office - no media ready game room - refusal to disclose ledger itemizing fees and charges - email correspondence via personal email (security concern) - email replies on average 4 - 5 days after initial inquiry - no walkthrough - no initial damage disclosure form - much more.... The Maintenance Staff However Has Been AMAZING and Been Able To Provide Keys and Unlock the Doors of the Nearly $3000 a month Unit We Are Renting, Since We Were Provided the Wrong Keys & No Door Code Upon Move In, and Had ZERO ACCESS for over 2 weeks (Which We Were Still Billed for and We Paid) TO BE CLEAR...MONEY IS NOT A CONCERN. THE LACK OF CLARITY & COMMUNICATION IS... The price point of these Units would indicate a level of service and care that is FIRST CLASS, but instead we cannot get a reply for DAYS...once we do it is 15-20 mins before the office closes, which does not allow us the opportunity to discuss any discrepancies. CONCLUSION - We chose this complex with the expectation that it would work for our family and provide a safe and top-notch level of client care. We signed a lease and will honor it because its the right and legal thing to do. I employ anyone looking to move here. Do some additional research. We moved from out of state and in a rush to secure a unit, we believed everything that was said AND unfortunately it has been a complete NIGHTMARE.

Id leave 0 if I could. Ive lived in 8 different apartments in this area, no one has charged be over $300 in final fees until now. About 2 weeks before my lease ended I had a all my stuff moved out. A member of the management came up, and walked my unit with me. HE TOLD ME Id be 200-300 max on my final move out bill. I lived alone, and kept my place clean. After I moved out I received a bill for over $500! I called and told them this is not what was said to me and that it wasnt okay. The lady on the phone assured me shed figure out out and call me back. Two weeks later I have received no call back, but an email form them with A NEW BILL OF $988. If you made it to the end, Id recommend one of the apartments about .5 miles up the street. Hopefully they dont lie and over charge as well.
