Long term resident of 22 years, property has been updated recently. I enjoy living here.
Pros: Friendly staff, nice units, great pool/gym, dog friendly, safe neighborhood. Cons: Somewhat pricey, very strict on lease terms. Biggest issue is contracted maintenance (on-staff maintenance is fantastic). Apartment staff gives little notice, low flexibility, and contractors don't show up half the time. Complaints to apartment yield It's not us response. You hire contractors, take responsibility.
Convenient location, very pet friendly, biggest plus is their pools for the summertime and the Bark Park which is nice amenity. Clean and fairly safe. Problems with neighbors partying and smoking in the buildings can be problematic. Very hard to fin guest parking at night or on the weekends. Warning: the units with carpet in them are NASTY. Carpets are outdated, old, stained, matted, and the new vinyl wood looking flooring gets dirt and grime stuck in it easily and hard to clean.
I'm just not a dog person. I knew pets were allowed, but I didn't expect to live in a kennel. Also, I think the strict policies are unwarranted, such as the strict 60 day notification to vacate and all the extra fees. It's not that grand of a place to live to go through all that.
It is a terrific place, dog friendly, nice people, and great amenities. The one major qualm I have is the extreme over-watering of the grass. Many times the automatic system should be shut down in cases after a rain storm but is not and that is a major waste of water. This is a dessert after all. Watering into late October is also frustrating, so wasteful. Of course the residents pay for this extra and unnecessary watering, not to mention the environmental impact and general waste of H20.
