Horrible. I requested a walkthrough before I left and they said they couldn't leave the office. I scheduled one for the next day and the manager didn't show. I then received a letter from an attorney/ collection agency demanding over $1200 for back utilities and damages to the apartment. I paid my rent and utilities every month on time but after my 12 month lease was up I was not allowed to renew my lease. I paid a ridiculous amount for my utilities. I now live in a house in American Fork and still don't pay as much for utilities here as I did there. Former tenants should get together and class action them for over charging for utilities.
Raise your rent at the end of every lease. Expect you to follow the rules that they themselves ignore.
We were in a bad car accident that has made things difficult and management was not understanding at all even though we've been great tenants and have been on time with our rent every month. We were charged $175 in fees even though we asked for help and told we would be helped. Being in this situation has made things difficult and it amazed me that we couldn't be helped once with a good heart. We pay almost $1300 for a one bedroom (not including utilities) and they even raised our rent.
I wish I could leave less than 1-Star. The absolute WORST place that I have EVER lived. Seems dramatic? Good. I wish I could sit every person down that is considering moving here and ask that they trust the reviews on this one. The newer management has done a great job of collecting positive reviews from a handful of people, but make sure you look at all of them. I would recommend filtering by 1-star. They lied to us about so much and were the worst in our moving out. We gave them a 30 day notice and they accepted that over the phone but didnt track that information so theyve admitted to having that notice but wont accept fault. They said we were required to give a 60 day notice instead which is included in the contract so we understood that, but instead of saying that to us when we gave the 30 day notice, they let us move out and then sent us a letter for $5,000. They claimed we damaged the carpets and walls and oven and we had cleaner the building spotless before moving out. Its almost as if THEY DID THIS TO SO MANY PEOPLE IN AN EFFORT TO REMODEL MANY OF THEIR ROOMS AND NOT TAKE THAT OUT OF THEIR POCKET Because we refused to pay those absurd charges, they sent us to collections. Were having a legal team review it and based off the outcome, Ill make sure to update everyone here/online with the outcome.
Lastly, again... DONT MOVE HERE.
The maintenance crew and managers are excellent. My apartment is nice and they keep the place looking high quality. My window frames however are not square and the windows allow cold air into the apartment in the gaps.
