The apartments are ok: a bit on the cheap side and becoming dated but not bad overall. My apartment looked nothing like the demo unit in terms of appliances, finish etc.
The common areas of the property are well maintained. However maintenance support in the apartment is slow or lacking. The community is sterile: nothing is going on. That's not necessarily a problem, but they advertise the place as vibrant so I warrants mention.
My biggest disappointment is management. The office staff is useless and turning over all the time. It's clear that they are not there to help you. They focus on collecting rent and enforcing the many petty rules. They have no authority and will ignore your requests. The manager has no authority to make any decision and only serves as a buffer (barrier) between corporate and the customer.
The one star is mostly because you are completely ignored as a customer.
They take your whole deposit, regardless of how much you clean, they will nickel and dime your deposit when you move out until there is nothing left. The maintenance is terrible and will bury you in during the winter and get mad when you try to dig yourself out. They also have this new thing where they have thier Owen mandatory insurance that just racks up the price of rent for no reason. I would not recommend this place
I must be pretty satisfied -- I've been here eight years!
More internet and tv options would be better
The Falls at Canyon Rim is one of the nicest and quietest apartment complexes I have ever stayed in and it is pretty hard to find areas of critique. Yes, there are those that nitpick the smallest things but from an overall perspective, there is no other place I would rather be. The only complaint I have is the inability of the corporation who owns the place to provide adequate funds to supply a working solution to the hot tub. I blame Bach and not management.
