All About

Living in Universal City, TX

If you or a loved one is stationed at Randolph Air Base, there's no better place to look for apartments than Universal City.

Considered "the gateway to Randolph AFB," apartment hunters will appreciate the close proximity of Universal City to the military base, which is literally a minute away. At the same time, the city is situated only 20 miles away from the heart of San Antonio. All you have to do is hop on I-35 South and you can cruise right through the metropolitan area. Other major cities in Texas are also an interstate away from Universal City. Driving on I-35 North will take you to Austin, which is only an hour away. Take I-10 East and you will end up in Houston three hours later.

Just like the other San Antonio suburbs, Universal City allows its apartment dwellers to live an easier lifestyle as opposed to those who are renting downtown. The community is currently operating six parks located in its vicinity to provide people with much-needed greenery. The Universal City Park - a 32-acre park - features several baseball fields with a walking path for those who are in search for some peace and quiet. The park also features an 18-hole disc golf course for active members of the community.

Those who are worried that suburbia might be too quiet for them will be happy to know that Universal City offers its apartment residents many amenities and facilities - a far convenient choice than driving to San Antonio. Fast food establishments are abundant in the area as well as local bars and hangouts.
