Roaches are bad in the summer months. Water leaks from unknown places in the pipes. Always sewer problems and the water is off at least once a week. Can't find parking after 9pm and you have to park on the street then walk to your apartment.
First and foremost, as a current resident, I couldn't regret my decision to live here more. The front office staff was entirely replaced all of a couple of weeks after we moved in, and it has been nothing but a downhill slope since.
We originally signed up for an assigned parking spot adding a minimal fee to our monthly bill. When we came to understand they had assigned us an already assigned number, we declined to move to a different spot and attempted to return the parking pass to alleviate the additional fee. My wife tried on two separate occasions to walk into the office, hand over the pass, and move forward with her day, only to find that the front office staff "couldn't accept it" for a couple of reasons they refused to disclose. It took me going down and speaking with the complex manager to finally be able to hand them back their duplicate piece of plastic and get the fee removed. They were unorganized with regard to the parking spots and as such, had a habit of duplicating passes according to the first group of office workers we dealt with.
Fast forward to just today, when they decided to not only enforce a policy that I must've overlooked, but push it to the extreme. I am not allowed to store my daughter's bicycle on my patio. It isn't visible to the street. It isn't blocking the use of the back door or her window for the sake of giving them benefit of the doubt in that this is a fire hazard policy and not just some overbearing move by a subpar complex at "maintaining aesthetic". They also state that your curtains are only allowed to be white, because if color is visible through the windows, you'll ruin their pristine look, which is funny given they don't replace the lights on their malfunctioning sign, the security lights in the parking lot didn't work for almost two months before getting a repair, and they took the time to paint decent "No Parking" markers for some of the spots, but others are spray painted on by someone with some terrible handwriting
