Your loved ones corpses are merely tally marks in their bank accounts. Cypress at Stone Oak and The Connor Group are absolutely heartless. My brother died tragically and unexpectedly in mid-August. He had spent $700 as a holding deposit for an apartment to be leased late November. He was a co-applicant with my 80-year-old father (who he was going to take care of). I sent his death certificate 8/31/2023 and the move-in date was scheduled for 11/21/2023. We called for 2 weeks - each time they assured us they would call us back - they never once did. We had to keep calling. Chasing an apartment complex is not the way we want to spend our time mourning our beloved family member. They said that they had never had a case of an applicant dying prior to moving in before so they had to decide what to do. The Region Head decided to selfishly hold on to his money. Thanks Brad. It took us commuting to the office in person in order to even get that information from the local manager Brianna. Without condolences, without any empathy, without any hint of humanity. They said that the leasing office is losing money even though the move-in date from the the day we sent his death certificate was 11 weeks away. Its unfathomably low to be so greedy to sell your humanity for $700. We are all grieving and had incredible expenses getting my brothers affairs in order. Every single other company we had to deal with worked with us and had some semblance of heart. Avoid these people at all costs - this company does NOT care about people at all. Your loved ones corpses are merely tally marks in their bank accounts.

UPDATE TIME: I followed Texas property code to properly vacate the premises due to the mold and it severely effecting my health (all documented by my dr). Despite me doing the right thing , cypress at stone oak and the Connor group are trying to make me sign a SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT to terminate my lease I have attached a copy see for yourself LOOK AT NUMBER 8 they dont want yall to know how they really treat their tenants and conduct business.I have had severe health issues, property damage due to the flooding. Instead of the Connor group doing the right thing and living out their core values of doing the right thing and people matter. Despite all the issues they have already caused me they are trying to strong arm me and tell me they wont terminate my lease UNLESS I SIGN THEIR SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT. A settlement agreement that does nothing but protect them and silence me. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE HERE YOU ARE JUST A CHECK AS AM I. You will end up paying more if you choose to live here. So far I have had a 5k couch and 3k tv ruined by flooding no repayment or reimbursement was given heck not even an apology. they have not given me back my deposit of $2700, I have had over 3k in medical bills, I paid $300 dollars to have the mold tested because they told me I had to pay for that. Not to mention the unexpected moving costs a new deposit(2500, moving vehicle and crew 3k).I have had to miss tons of work because of the asthma attacks and respiratory infections I was having due to the mold. I will keep updating this so people can see what they put there tenants through . Hopefully it can help someone and prevent any other tenant neglect, and mistreatment! Things really need to change here

Please consider speaking to tenants of how the living situation is here. Please please look at my google review. This apartment complex is not luxury. The blue makes it look ghetto. Gates are always broken and the door code does not work but there are signs that say close the door haha. Cars get broken into a lot. The rent amount plus amenities are ridiculous. Cypress at Stone Oak would be 10 times better if management cared about tenants' needs. Moving here was the worse. They promised my family and I a beautiful unit and on our move-in-date, they did not know we were moving in. They ended up giving us a random apartment that was filthy with doors that did not lock, completely messed up blinds, bugs, dirty floors, and the showers were yellow! The first month they overcharged us on rent and did not refund our money then a month later they requested another deposit. They forced us to pay and again they did not give us a refund. That same month maintenance came only once to fix the dryer and I called again to make another request. It turns out my kitchen sink got clogged and it's still clogged! There is mold coming up and no matter how much we clean, it's still there. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU JUST MONEY! I see maintenance working from the side of our apartment, people coming to paint outside, and even men putting new appliances where units are empty. They even promised us a pretty patio with grass and all they have done is thrown big rocks. They charge for everything. Oh and lastly each tenant is forced to pay a prorated amount for spectrum when some people just have internet. Please go check out other apartments that CARE ABOUT TENANTS.

The Apartment says Luxury - but it is not! It is old and run down inside. They are courteous until you sign the lease. Be careful of the lease. It states you except the apartment conditions as is upon move in - and that is the truth! They will find reasons not to fix repairs that are needed! All they know how to do is collect the rent. Trash piles up every week at the bin every weekend, and animals pick through it. They allow abandon vehicles to park in the lot (even know the lease states you cannot do that). They allow electrical hazards to go unrepaired and tell you they do not have the staff to repair them. When you bring repair issues to their attention, they are uncourteous and unprofessional in how they treat you request, They cannot even provide a secure facility with a gate that operates as they have told you it would, or maintain elevators in proper working order. Consider other options is your best choice!

Roach and mold infested complex, I truly hope you see this before falling for the trap they have set. Stay Away from Connor Group, poor management that will leaving you hanging. My experience along with many others has been abysmal, my sentence is almost up and I am counting down the days
