All About

Living in San Antonio College, TX

San Antonio College (SAC) was originally established as University Junior College in 1925 under the auspices of the University of Texas. However, the school has undergone a variety of transformations before settling on its current state and name in 1948. Today, SAC is a member of the Alamo Community College District and is both the oldest public two-year college and the largest single-campus community college in Texas.

The school's stated mission is "committed to excellence in helping students reach their full potential by developing their academic competencies, critical thinking skills, communication proficiency, civic responsibility and global awareness."

Those living in student housing or an off campus apartment at SAC may enjoy the school's exemplary academics in general education, liberal arts and sciences, continuing education, developmental education and career education. Some of the school's most notable programs include business management, financial management, finance, dental assisting, real estate, American Sign Language interpreter training, mortuary science, medical assisting, computer-aided design, radio, television and film and public administration among others.

Student living and university living at SAC revolve around a variety of traditional student campus organizations. Students also have access to San Antonio's cultural, historic, commercial and recreational landmarks.
