The apts are NOT built well, meaning you hear EVERYTHING above you, and through every shared wall. I have lived here 1-1/2 yrs., in 2 different buildings/floor plans-noise level remains the same-ridiculously loud. Who wants to hear all the domestics, bathroom activities, etc.??? Most days, from 7a-11p, everything on my walls rattles due to the absolute elephants above me stomping, fighting, screaming, etc. ZERO regard for neighbors! The demographics changed overnight. Expect to see Roanoke cops on a regular basis now,responding to a plethora of calls. Def. gives pause. Are background checks being thoroughly done? In the warm months, expect your Master bedroom to be HOT. Duct work incorrectly installed-temp. is brutal during Summer. Albeit grandfathered in, a new law was just passed against allocated water charges. I can almost guarantee mgmt will act as if they have no idea about this law if you inquire as to why they won't change/change back to sub-metering. Expect your H20/sewage bill to be MUCH higher than the amt you actually use-you will be paying for everyone else's usage in your building as well. I have never had high water bills before living here. The monthly fees equate to $70 additional dollars ($85 w/pet). $40 is charged for basic cable whether you use it or not. MAA monopoly-a quick $40 from every tenant, monthly; for them and Spectrum. $25 for valet trash-believe me; you do not want to go to the dumpster here! Almost weekly-trash doesn't just overflow from the dumpster, it lines the 4-5 stairs that lead to it, and the sidewalk that leads to the stairs! $5 for pest control-totally fair charge. You will certainly need it if you live anywhere near the dumpster! Management-The Mgr-LOL! She is 100% is in the WRONG industry. By far, the nicest thing I would say about her. Asst Mgr- uppity and likes to blow smoke. Leasing Consult, Myra-an absolute fantastic person! Maint-great! This and high rent for an absolute sub par apt, no update, bldg sinking. No thnks
TVs in workout room have been out for a couple weeks
I was going to suggest painting, but they are just now starting to pressure wash the buildings and prepping them for paint so that is good news since my garage and front door are in need of paint. Parking is sometimes an issue. Wish there was a dog park area to let the dogs loose so they can run.
